  • I haven't tried this in a while - this is seamless on the palate, and really spreads out. Pretty delicious. Nice tar notes on the nose - very much in the zone tonight.

  • Bottle 5 of 6. At it's apogee, the tertiary flavors are front and center, with tobacco, sour cherry, sauteed mushrooms, wet soil, some spice.
Gorgeous, drink now through 2022 or so...don't wait too long as this is perfect.

  • Darker than my last btl. Pop and pour. More tar, charcoal, smoke, roses, blood orange, a touch of brown sugar. On the palate, blood orange, brown sugar, a touch of prune, and a dense finish with blood orange and brown sugar, and grainy tannin.

  • Evocative and intoxicatingly sweet nose of rich strawberry and black cherry, menthol, tar, a touch of liquorice. Plenty of savoury and sharp fruit soon followed by grainy, mouth coating tannin. There is plenty of quality here and it is very likely to get better and better from here. Think I should leave the next one for another 3 years to let the tannins soften a bit.

  • Pale intensity, garnet color.

Oh so classic developing Nebbiolo nose at that magic spot where it still shows vibrant fruit along with those perfumed tertiary aromas of truffle, potpourri flowers and expensive leather. A lovely nose!

The tannins are resolving but the structure is still on the youthful side with grippy tannins and mouthwatering acidity. Great intensity, complexity and resonance to the flavors. The last bottle of four bought at the estate back in 2014. Picked and the perfect spot for my taste.
