This tastes slightly past it. It has the skeleton of what once must have been a very good wine but there's no meat left on the bones. Red fruit, hints of spice and herbs, not a lot of intensity, light in body, structure mostly resolved, not really a midpalate. Not drying out and not madeirized or showing evidence of poor storage but there's just no there there.

Drank throughout a wine tasting dinner at a Tuscan restaurant in Napa along with a 1974 Barolo and some CA pinot noir. This was, by far, the most compelling and alluring wine of the night. Incredibly complex. A superb wine.

Minneapolis Tastes Burgundy (Edina Country Club): A really nice wine drinking well right now. Some bricking with raspberry, earth, funk and blueberries. Good concentration and medium finish. This is in a good place right now.

Minneapolis does Burgs at ECC (Edina Country Club): Medium red color with significant bricking. Musty, damp earth, a little funk, meat, blood, some cherry and a bit of raspberry lurks as well, mushrooms, subtle florals and a bit of carmel. The palate is great, very consistent with the nose, medium plus finish. I love where this is at. 93+ to 94 pts and my WOTN.

Red Burgs at Edina CC (Edina Country Club, MN): Nose: Funky with meat/game, blood and earth. Very rustic nose and very classic Burgundy. Palate: At age 11 still very good acid levels with light red fruits and lots of secondary character. Delicate and feminine this was one of the best wines of the night and a solid Burg.
