BWC 23 - Lignier Clos de la Roche: In the end we felt this was probably a bit heat damaged (thank you Park Avenue liquors, for your crap storage). But it wasn't going to be a great version of this wine anyway - without the balance, grace, and nobility of the other vintages on this night.

The Roots Fund Grand Cru Charity Dinner (Home): In a Hubert-Lignier 95/96/98/01 vertical and purchased from a reputable auction house. The label is identical to Hubert-Lignier in every but the producer across the bottom states, "Legrand, Marie-Elisabeth". Perhaps some kind of grower sharing arrangement? Alas, the bottle was off, and perhaps lightly corked.

Cloudy robe. Spice and raspberry. Pretty good balance. Expected more.

Unfortunately, this bottle was probably heat damaged. Funky and musty, with stewed fruit flavors.
