11th of 12, opened 20 minutes, perfect level, cork spongey in final quarter, flavours now starting to broaden to the detriment of balance, though still a v attractive and typical wine from a rich vintage, vv persistent. Downside from here, drink up! F+ (18).......VF+ in 2015/16 period!

Pale gold. Classic aged Chablis nose of blossom honey covering a saline, mineral core. Nicely textured, still framed by nice acidity, with flavors of honey and citrus. Finishes with salinity and excellent persistence. The 1999 Les Clos shows little of that vintage or vineyards power or ripeness, but has aged very nicely all the same. Well-kept bottles should last several more years.
