180 degrees different from the bottle opend 12 months ago. This one was more youthful in appearance but was dominated by earthy notes that segued into soy sauce. Not ideal, to say the least.

My bottle. Opened at Warren's. Found it surprisingly stiff compared to another recent bottle so decanted to open it up, which backfired. In the 2-3 hour wait to be served, it went to the dumb side showing orange peel and some strawberry jam notes--but not much else. Next day, it showed in full glory. Leave these alone for now.

Served blind. Jenise and Bob's bottle. Very nice. Christmas character. Orange, cinnamon, clove, hibiscus. I was surprised at the reveal; I didn't know BC was capable of producing wines of this caliber.

Lacking any British wines, we turned to the Commonwealth and opened this wine last night to pay our repsects to the reign of ERII (with a deconstructed Beef Wellington). Maroon-black in color, decanted for one hour to aerate and remove minor sediment. A perfect blend of dark blackberry and plum fruit with some earth and savory nuances. If you had told me it was Bordeaux, I'd have believed you. Long finish. I'll hold my original forecast of 2025 or beyond.

Still standing up. Soft tannins, plum, cherry notes with nicely balanced oak. Great new world Bordeaux blend
