Slow ox for 12 hours. Moderately effusive nose of rose, dried herbs, cinnamon. Medium bodied with an elegant texture, the tannin structure at the outset is quite chalky and full, firm and austere. With some time in the glass, the tannins balance out and the wine becomes more harmonious. Strawberry, mulberry, and tar notes, good length. Fine.
Can be happily consumed now with the appropriate preparation, however another 5 years in the cellar will be worthwhile.

The nose is quite fresh but still has depth, showing clear notes of dry rose petals, eucalyptus, oil paint, liquorice root and some both red and dark fruit, with blueberries as a base. Very pleasant nose and quite typical for Cannubi according to my experience.
The acidity and the herbal notes are quite dominant on the palate where the fruit gets younger and more red. The acidity is energetic but combined with the strong herbal notes it is getting rather sharp. Tannins are quite careful but a bit sandy.
The wine has a great nose but the palate is not in balance yet. I recommend a long wait before drinking the wine.

Quite young at this point but foreshadows its promising future. Gorgeous nose with distinct perfumy rosewater elements. The tannins still have some coarse features to work through, that only time can resolve. This is a producer to be reckoned with, and will reward those who accumulate. Anticipated 92-94 if it continues on its same trajectory.

Burlotto Barolo Tasting + X (Freiheit Vinothek, Ulm, Germany): Nose with some slight lovage. Palate fully developed with tertiary aromas. Tobacco, mellow tannin, very dense. A bit beyound its full peak, still very lovely. 91-92

G.D. Burlotto Barolo (Del Posto Restaurant, NYC): Another gorgeous floral nose, but the palate is waxy and spicy in a weird way. Seems more like a Rhone. VA maybe? NR
