Slow-O'd for four hours before approaching; consumed over another four. Some funk on the nose when it was opened, this blew off quickly to reveal a classic Paulliac nose of graphite / lead, leather, tobacco and some cedar. Very powerful and masculine. Taught on the palate showing concentrated red fruit, some cigar and a bracing minerality. There was a strong presence of acidity that gave the body some lift. Tannins have subsided with the exception of a slight grip on the finish, which was medium-length. Strong, but not over the top, and very refined. Good / very good. Drink now.

Much better than previous bottle. Fresh and very red color - not necessarily too old.

Probably past its prime, but still drinkable and enjoyable.
