Incredible. Bottle and cork were in perfect condition. Opened with fresh raspberry, pomegranate, and strawberry preserves; spices; and some lavender and mint on the nose. Structure is the with very fine tannins that have taken a slight backseat to the acid but still in balance.

Had side by side with a 2010 Cobb Coastlands PN, both pop and pour.
Interesting to see the color on the 2008 looked younger than the 2010, but the 2010 tasted younger. Both wines with nice aromatics popping out of the glass. Both wines with the lighter red spectrum of fruit that I associate with cooler climate PN: tart cherry and pomegranate. The 2008 Rice Spivak is tastes more savory and complex with vibrant acidity. The 2008 RS tastes like it has more oak and more stem inclusion. The 2010 Coastlands was fruitier and more balanced acidity, the crowd pleaser. Both wines with no overt alcohol notes and a nice elegant finish. Although my wife did not like the RS (due to savory notes/stems/acid) she conceded that she felt both were well made/high quality wines.

Continues to be a crowd favorite. A terrific Thanksgiving feast compliment.
