Took to ribeye dinner. Slow ox’d for around 8 hrs. Very good example of a Right Bnk wine - luscious round fruit, a touch of funk, excellent minerality. Great with ribeye steaks. Should drink well thru 2028 or so.

Coarse tannins that I am not sure will resolve. However, a decent St. Emilion Grand Cru Classé. Mostly primary black fruit; blackberry, tlack plum, black currant, black cherry. Moderate secondary aromas/flavour of cedar and toast. Hint of tertiary aromas/flavours of forest floor, leather and barn. Well balanced, with a medium-long finish. I'll give it another five years to see it develops.

Last of my 6 bottles. Best looking cork and finest nose and palate of any of the bottles I’ve had. Nice complexity in the fruit, still very dry with pretty good balance given its age. Was fantastic with beef wellington.

(CHATEAU BEAUSEJOUR DUFFAU) #1B; COLOR-dark; NOSE-enormous, beautiful explosion of fall leaves, berries, so open; TASTE-so much elegance; so much power in the palate, so completely constructed & well made; the fruit is pure and powerful; but within it's package of tannins & structure, this wine is composed & gentle; this wine has all the components you're looking for (monster mouthfeel; completely complex); this wine has opened w/ the cinnamon, currant, bark & lovely violet flavors on the long polished finish; silkiness squared ; RP-90; WS-91; GV-94
(Beausejour Duffau Lagarrosse) Beausejour Duffau Lagarrosse Dear Friends, I have an affinity for this wine as it harkens to the days when Bordeaux (and wine in general) was an accompaniment to your evening meal, a lightly complex aside to the more important event - the event or meal itself. Always complimentary, never out of step - it is the partner you so revere and rely on when the going gets tough but expect to nod in agreement when you need it the most. Such is the case with the lovely, perfect partner, the 2004 Beausejour Duffau Lagarrosse - a wine I could drink every night. Is the 1990 version of this wine really 20 times better than this - I’m not so sure. In my continuing effort to make sense out of the insanity in Bordeaux pricing, this wine serves as a reminder that you need not get caught up in the hype to obtain the very best Bordeaux has to offer. As the US critics firmly and finally acknowledge 2004 to be a very good vintage (in many cases the equal of the insanely priced 2006’s) the UK critics have already been advising consumers to buy 2004 with abandon for the past several years as it may be the last vintage that is quasi-affordable. If you are a lover of Burgundy that also loves Bordeaux, this wine combines the ethereal nature of Bordelaise Cabernet Franc with a feminine quality that would not be out of place in Chambolle. A gorgeous wine that gives breed a new name at a price that seems to be one of the last fleeting moments of sanity in the region: VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED ONE SHIPMENT ONLY directly form the winery cellar with perfect provenance. EXTREMELY LIMITED at this price 2004 Beausejour Duffau Lagarrosse Thank you, Jon Rimmerman Garagiste Seattle, WA Bord8820
