Appearance: medium depth of colour. Moderate bricking. Pale rim
Nose: medium+ intensity. Good complexity - plums, black cherries, cassis, tobacco leaf, graphite, damp earth, leather and milk chocolate and some lavender. Some nutmeg came through towards the end of the bottle.
Palate: medium+ body. Ripe tannins were a bit grippy. Good acidity. Lingering finish. Balance, length, intensity and complexity are all good. Fruit has faded on the palate a bit but as expected. Very good. Drink up.

Great unmistaken BDX nose. A bit rough edges and lacking a bit of complexity and balance, but otherwise a really nice wine with good fruit and acidity that was very easy to drink. Perfect match for lamb. I would love to try this in more recent vintages.

Visited that Chetau. VG, soft tannins, slight orange color at edges... ready to drink. Pretty powerful taste.

The wine is firm, dusty, medium bodied, bright, crisp and with an earthy, smoky, mineral driven, red berry, coffee bean and herbal quality.
