Drinking very well towards the end of its window; just overshadowed by other wines on this evening of 93s. Fully resolved tannins, very ripe fruit, just starting to lose a little freshness. Still excellent.

Dead in that way only a vintage Bandol can be dead: ya keep trying it every two hours with fading hopes as it keeps getting weirder and worse. Oh well.

Yet another tasting experience that, in my mind, confirms that chateau Pibarnon produces some of the greatest red ( and rose) wines of the south of France. This wine was clearly at, or just past, its peak. I did not decant it as the tannins had already softened and slight browning was starting to appear. The aromatics were fully developed and expressed the full palate of evolved fruit, spices, iron/mineral qualities and hints of Provence herbs. The texture was exquisitely soft yet managed to hold on to all the elements. Nice, long finish. Drink now!

This is drinking so fantastically well, I can't imagine it won't still be in 10 years. Deep, furry, loads of iron, ripe round fruit, snappy and fresh on the finish. Great.

Just on point now, will go on for a few years. At 29 years old it's not going to get any better.
