This 100 year old bottle had exceptional provenance. It went from the Chateau to a wine cellar and then to a wine fridge. I was still afraid to have any hope at all. It had lost remarkably little volume. The cork came out in one piece and was wet. It was definitely old/past peak but oh my goodness what was left in it was astonishing. So much fruit. The tannins were perfectly integrated. It had a good acid/alcohol balance. Amazing clarity and even some brightness.
