It was a Brown bag send off for Brian and Ashley. It was great to see them one last time before they head to the UK. They will be missed. Poker was a slugfeat this time with most players hanging around till the end when the blinds started forcing hands. Nathan, me, and Rob went 1-2-3.
Great wines and I like the challenges of a double blind tasting. I was off to a great start but ran into some very unusual and equally interesting wines that put me in my place.

Was given a quick sip by some others at wcc. Shows dark cherry and spice with nice mouthfeel. I will visit my first bottle later this year '11. Good news is it looks very age worthy for those sitting on their stash.

France, Burgundy, Côte de Nuits, Nuits St. Georges 1er Cru

I'm not the guy you want referring burgs, I've had only a handful but know my way around pinot
and this was middle of the road. Very light and feminine, not a lot of depth or wow factor. No major faults though.
