Tasted blind: Deep garnet in color. Nose of leather and berries which reminds me a lot of a St. Julien wine. Tannins are still present and backward. Flavors of black licorice, red berries and Black Tea make this a very interesting wine. I liked it a lot. Hold for a year or two to get a true Napa beauty. Drink 2015-2035

Intensive, deep red. Rich flovors of cherries (Kirsch), cooked berries. Tase aain of dark berries, earl grey tea. tannins still present but well integrated. Very elegant and balanced. Great wine and one of my surprises of the tasting. No hurry with this great wine. Drink now - 2030.

Tasted blind: Deep in color. Nose of Kirsch, berry marmelade and roasted coffee. Powerful, balanced yet very elegant though all a bit on the modern side for a Heitz. It is a good wine but it cannot be compated to the pre-Phylloxera Heitz Martha's. Maybe with time it will become a true Martha's... Drink now - 2030

Tasted blind: Deep ruby red. Nose of black tea infused with red berries. Powerful, elegant wine. Tannins are a bit dry. TAste of Vanilla, coffee, black licorice. Compared to the Martha's 97 in the glass next to it this shows more balance, but is also more mature. Drink now - 2025.

Tasted blind: Deep in color. Nose of leather, tar and dark berries. Very balanced and long, yet a bit simple and backward. I think in 5 years this will develop into a classical Dominus. Taste of coffee, black licorice, chocolate and red berries. Nice wine...

Tasted blind: My best and youngest bottle so far, quite a bit more backward than all the other bottles I have tasted. Again a clear indication that with aged wines the storage is the absolute key factor.
Deep red. Nose of sour Cherries, cooked berries, quite rich. Nicely integrated tannins and elegant. An old school 'Big' Napa Cab. Tastes of coffee, raspberries and cherries. Wow! My best bottle of Caymus SS 92 so far. Drink now for the next decade.

Deep intensive red. The smell of fresh sap (typical Harlan) and licorice. Taste if coffee and rich cooked dark berries. Tannins well integreated and surprisingly powerful for a 2000. think this wine would still benefit from 2 more years storage. Drink now - 2022.

Intensive color. Smell of Raspberry, Cassis, licorice. Still lots of tannins supported by a great acidity. Taste of coffee and dark cherries. Long finish. A superb wine with great potential. Either decant for two hour or better wait until 2015 to pull the cork. Drink 2015 - 2030.

1995 Laurel Glen Cabernet Sauvignon Estate Sonoma Mountain 86 Points
USA, California, Sonoma County, Sonoma Mountain
Tasted blind: Deep color. Nose of currant. The tannins are well integrated and the wine has power. BUT it is rustic, one dimensional, has quite some tartiness (Herbal liquor) and hard tannins to it. Drink now
