There was a crap ton of wines and in this format it was barely possible to remember what you drank let alone take any detailed notes, but I'll throw down on the ones I tasted, though there were probably as many I didn't . There were about 32 attending and the the menu was catered paella which was very tasty indeed. The company as always was stimulating and the wines were up to the task as well. Thanks to Steve and Jenny for hosting and Craig for coordinating this always fun summer bash!!
2002 Le Cadeau Pinot Noir 92 Points
USA, Oregon, Willamette Valley
Totally agree with Chablis28; this was a wonderful bottle that was drinking with elegance and class. I'm amazed that this was the first vintage. Thanks for sharing Craig. I'm not sure we'll get the opportunity again!

Small pour; i thought this was better than previous notes. Good acid and nice citrus, clean and fresh if a tad young.

2009 Sine Qua Non Packin' Rosy 91 Points
USA, California, Central Coast
Medium orange-red color. Very, very interesting wine...blind I would have thought this was a light bodied pinot or the like. There was a remarkable intensity of flavor, big and bold, strawberry, ripe berry, intense, spice, etc. Very different, but very tasty as well. 91+pts.

Got the very last small pour of this, just enough to make me want more. Very nice, coming into its own, deep, good dark fruit. Balanced and nice earth.

2001 Weingut Josef Leitz Rüdesheimer Berg Schloßberg Riesling Spätlese 91 Points
Germany, Rheingau
Light-medium gold color. I definitely had this out of sequence given the level of sweetness. This would have fit in great with the Sauternes at the end. Great fruit, but very sweet, Auslese to BA really. Loved the peach and apricot but needed some more acid to quench. 90+ to 91pts.

2004 Tenuta La Fuga Brunello di Montalcino 89 Points
Italy, Tuscany, Montalcino, Brunello di Montalcino
No notes, small pour, pretty good. It did not suck and it was "not the worst Brunello ever" as in a previous note.

Had this after the Legras and it just come off flat and uninteresting for me. It was decent enough, but...

2003 Ciacci Piccolomini d'Aragona Brunello di Montalcino Pianrosso 91 Points
Italy, Tuscany, Montalcino, Brunello di Montalcino
Dark red color. Decanted for 2 hours. Drank one tasting pour. I thought this showed well, nice dry earth/forest floor, cherry, black cherry, lightly floral, leather. The palate was medium bodied, fairly elegant, spice, dark cherry, earth, mineral, silky texture and medium plus finish, round moderate tannins. A little wood spice on the finish which i think will integrate further. In the window now and has a good long future. 91(+)pts.

2009 Domaine Naudet Sancerre 92 Points
France, Loire Valley, Upper Loire, Sancerre
Light gold color. Drank 1 glass. I thoroughly enjoyed this and frankly could have sat outside and downed the bottle with pleasure. Showing every bit as well as the last bottle with great acid, crisp and fresh shell minerals, citrus and lychee. Nummy. Sorry it's gone.

2005 Château Guiraud 92 Points
France, Bordeaux, Sauternais, Sauternes
Oddly, I just had this 3 days before from 375ml. This bottle from 750ml seemed much younger in evolution. White it had the intensity on the palate and the substance was there, the roundness and body had yet to evolve. flavor profile was consistent though. Needs more time from 750ml to really appreciate fully.
