No formal notes. Incredibly youthful. All about citrus, minerals and tension with excellent acidity and length. A wound up spring of potential. Needs 5-7 years for sure but if you enjoy young white burg there is no shame is opening one now. Excellent. 91+

No formal notes. Cellared around 5 years. Nice maturity here. A solid NV with age on it. Excellent.

No formal notes. Very Vosne-like with spice and darker red fruits. Excellent acidity and firm but somewhat approachable tannins. Can be enjoyed now but better in 3-5 years. Medium weight. Excellent. 90+

No formal notes. Very Chambolle-like. Both this and the Rouget show there village and the 08 vintage quite well. Really nice acidity. Crunchy and tart red fruits with nice elegance. Like the Rouget this will improve with 3-5 years. Excellent. 90+

Disgorged October 21, 2009. No formal notes. Fresher than the '07 disgorgement from a few days ago but slightly less complexity. Baked apple and charred lemon nose. Rich mousse. Nice acid and lengthy finish. Excellent.

No formal notes. Wow this is extremely young. Pale lemon colour with almost a hint of green. Very classic Chablis with minerals, saline and lemon. Palate is tight, focused and linear. Great acidity. Really nice but this can go another 5-10 years easy. Excellent. 92+

No formal notes. More advanced than the Preuses with less tightness and citrus but more richness, weight and maturing notes. A hint if butterscotch on the nose but it's not at the forefront. A nice contrast to the wound up and nervy Preuses but this bottle was quite bit more advanced than a previous bottle a few months ago.

No formal notes. Young juicy Syrah with 3-5 year aging potential it seems. Approachable and very enjoyable. Good acidity with softer tannins and mouthfeel. Nice value wine. Very good. 88+

No formal notes. Drank along side 95 Verset. At first this had a better and more pronounced nose of classic Cornas aromas (black olive tapenade, maturing Syrah fruit, meat, pepper etc) but after an hour or so of air the Verset sprang to life and had an extra element of complexity. On the palate this was lighter in body and weight than the Verset. Drinking perfectly right now and cruise at this level for years. Outstanding.

Drank alongside the '95 Clape. Shyer nose at first but once this opened up (about an hour after opening) it was outstanding. Beautifully complex nose, with all the same classic notes as the Clape (meat, black olives, leather) but with an extra gear of complexity. Beautifully rustic yet not a hair out of place really. Both this and the Clape have very nice acidity and somewhat firm tannins and both (especially the Verset) have the fruit and structure to go another 5-10 years. A brilliant wine.

No formal notes. More depth and complexity than the '11 L'Art Zele. Juicy young Syrah with potential. Glad to have some of this in the cellar. Somewhat approachable now but really should be left alone for 3-5 years as the firm structure is just slightly masked by the fruit right now but I imagine that theyl change shortly. Excellent. 90+

No formal notes. Nice and perfectly mature. Doesn't have the complexity of some of the better Champagnes but a perfectly good drink at the moment. Excellent.

No formal notes. Just what you expect from Roulot. Minerals, tension and lemony goodness. Beautiful with loads of potential. Focused and detailed. Can be thoroughly enjoyed now but should be a rock star in 5+ years. Excellent. 91+

No formal notes. Very delicate and airy and a bit shy at first. Opened up with time but definitely not as showy as the '07 Roulot Narvaux. Great acid and saline notes. Classic young Forest. Precision and tension. Will be a great wine with proper ageing. Tons of upside here. Excellent. 90+

No formal notes. A nice teenage burg but nothing to write home about. Doesn't have the fireworks you expect from the vineyard. Drink or hold. Very good.

No formal notes. This was so fresh and drinking so well. Very precise with minerals and pure citrus fruit. Linear but with excellent body and length. This bottle is really good and would blow away many 1er Crus. Excellent.

No formal notes. Lots of Krug-y goodness here. Loads of complexity, rich and creamy mouthfeel with a ton of bright acidity. Citrus and florals with fine bubbles on the palate. I've been lucky to have this a few times over the past year and this wine always shows up in a big way. Outstanding.

Brief notes. Quite consistent with my previous note but I didn't find the oak noticeable at all this time around. Surprisingly this had a good deal of structure even compared with the 99. Still drinking very well but both need more time. Excellent. 90+

Brief notes. Similar to the 01 but with a bit more depth. It's really splitting hairs but I preferred this 99 a touch more. Can be enjoyed now or leave to develop further for another 5+ years. Excellent. 91+

From half bottle. A real treat to try this but unfortunately wasn't as epic as a previous bottle according to the owner. Next time!

Brief notes. Very young and less interesting and open than previous bottles. Hands off for 3-5 years before trying again. Really nice potential though.

Brief notes. Simple killer--vibrant and tense with so much focus and Raveneau goodness. This was extremely youthful and needed tons of air to open up. Still great to drink but this can go decades. Excellent. 92+

Brief notes. Excellent and very Krug-y. The 95 we had yesterday seems much more than 3 years older than this 98. Thoroughly enjoyable now but this should develop positively for decades. This bottle was quite consistent with my previous note from two years ago (7/25/2012). Excellent. 92+

Brief notes. Drank alongside the '00 Santo Stefano. Both opened 6 hours before serving (needed more). The Rabaja was a bit fresher than the SS but both of these beauties had quite a bit of rich fruit and loads of structure to go along with it. Overall I slightly preferred the Rabaja. Both wines kept improving throughout the evening. Hands off for at least 5 more years. Excellent. 92+

Disgorged July 4, 2007. No formal notes. More oxidative than previous bottles Ive had (older disgorgement date) but in a good way. Drinking like a 1990 vintage Champagne with a richer mouthfeel and solid acidity. Not a ton of bubbles but they are very fine. Soft mousse. Drinking very well. Outstanding.

No formal notes. Beautiful and classic nose. Lighter weight on the palate with fairly resolved structure. Drinking perfectly now but will easily cruise for 5-10 years. A nicely mature old school Bordeaux. Excellent.
