Every participant had to bring a wine of the theme. We did not know which wines were brought by the others. All wines were tasted blind, also without knowing when the wine you brought was poured.
Pleasant stinky bouquet with flint stone. Apple, citrus, bread dough and some spiciness. Firm bubble, but mild on the palate.

Light yellow. Brioche and apple in the bouquet. Even though this is an extra brut, there was a slightly sweet impression in the start. Also brioche, mild apple, some spiciness, licorice and some nutty flavors on the palate. The bottle we had was made of 50% 2005 and 50% 2006 grapes. Part of the 2006 wine had some oak. Overall a very pleasant Champagne.

Not really small bubbles. A bit chalky/limestone in the bouquet. Dry, minerals and ripe apples in the mouth. Tight. Not extremely tasteful. Some hazel nuts and bitterness in the finish. Ok, but lacks some fruit overall.

Pale yellow. Toasted bouquet, a little bit stinky in a pleasant way, flint stone, some petrol(?) In fact the same on the palate. Also tart lemon, nutty flavors and very fruity. Some lime in the long finish. A very special bubble, certainly complex. You love it or you hate it.

Light yellow. A lot of brioche in the bouquet. Although the wine gets only 5 grams dosage, the start is a bit sweet. A lot of ripe apples. Fine mousse. Very well balanced and a long finish. Maybe not extremely complex, but such a great pleasure to drink this.

Light yellow. Fine mousse. The bouquet needs some time to show itself and then there is brioche, fruits and minerals like limestone and flint stone. The wine gets no malolactic fermentation which gives the wine focused tart citrus. Refined wine with a bit drying finish.

50% Pinot Noir and 50% Pinot Meunier. Dark yellow. Soft apples and a bit yeasty in the bouquet. On the palate apples, hazelnuts, oak and mushrooms. Pleasantly dry with a touch of sweetness. Although from 2007 the wine seems quite mature. Someone said this bubble would be great with "confit de canard".

Yeasty bouquet with also sauerkraut. Same on the palate. Firm and aggressive mousse. Very special. This 100% Pinot Meunier bubble is not really something for my taste.

Refined bouquet with soft citrus. On the palate a somewhat sweet start followed by tart apple, thick and also mild with some bitterness. Tasteful and with a dry finish. Ok, but not impressive.
