Opens with floral notes followed by mineral and melon fruit but there's an odd earthy/funky overtone that's somewhat distracting. Luckily this blows off leaving lifted floral aromatics. Flavors of white fruit and melon with a waxy quality. Has a slight spritz. For $8 on bin end, not a bad inexpensive patio wine.

Aromas of banana, coconut and citrus with a stony/mineral background note. On the palate this shows a lot more oak than I expect from La Carriere. Citrus, coconut and tropical fruit with pear liqueur coming in on the finish. Seems young; hopefully the fruit will still be there when the oak is better-integrated.

As soon as I got my nose to the glass I knew this was our Cameron Clos Electrique. Aromas of bacon fat, cherry and currants. The wonderful "Cameron funk" is there too, though it's rather restrained here. Cherry, meat and pepper flavors on the palate with a medium+ finish. Love this stuff. Will likely hold for another year or two at this level.

Double blind. Very slight; reticent. Just barely a hint of dark berry fruit. Chalky, grippy tannins with a bit of dark fruit on the palate. I am convinced this wine has some low level TCA- not enough to show the musty/cardboard notes, but just enough to strip the wine of its fruit and character. Seeing this unveiled confirms for me the low-level taint.

Double blind. Initial note of cherry candy followed by a subtle chemically note that blows off. Slightly astringent through the finish, cherry fruit and good underlying acidity. Really strengthens as it sits- develops a deep sweet cherry note- like a Luden's cough drop- and the fruit fills in on the finish. Lovely and pure- really bright. Thought the fruit is sweet, it works well here and isn't cloying and I really like this. Guessed CA Pinot Noir. 92+ pts.

Wow, this is so much like wine A I am convinced that someone else brought a Clos Electrique too. Deep meaty dark fruit with black cherry and earth undertones. Integrated and balanced. Cherry, red plum, pepper and clay with a meaty note on the back end. Long finish. So similar to A, but better fruit carrying the finish. Guessed Cameron Clos Electrique. 93-94 pts.
I've never had an Arley's show this similar to the CE- what a surprise. Thoroughly enjoyable.

Double blind. Notes of dark fruit and road tar- almost Pinotage-like, but in a good way. Loads of black fruit on the palate, along with spice and chocolate. Firm tannins. Medium+ finish. The chocolate note had me thinking Napa Cab.

Double blind. Aromas of dark fruit and tobacco with a hay/straw note in the background. The dark fruit continues on the palate. Perhaps a bit of brett here.

Half a bottle left from last evening. Hasn't changed much in terms of the profile with the exception of adding an interesting diesel/petrol aroma. Very tasty.
