Beautiful and concentrated bouquet with dark and red berries and good oak. Some bitterness. Ok acidity and tannin. On the palate not as great as the bouquet promises.

No words for it. Complete and complex. TOP! TOP! TOP! At 5 years of age this is already so smooth and great and also still so silky powerful. Hope to taste this again in the future. 97+

At 10 years of age the bouquet is impressive with dark berries, luxurious oak, cedar, lead pencil, smoke etc. On the palate however the wine is still locked. Probably wise to wait another 6 - 10 years. 93+

Creamy, round, supple and easy going. Good mid range Pomerol. Will be nice in the first decade of the 21st century.

Very dark color. Dark berry fruits, firm acidity and tannin, some bell pepper and bitterness. Good concentration. Give it time. 15+ years at least. 89 - 91+

Light color, hardly any bouquet in this stage, red and black berries, firm acidity and bitterness and some sticky tannin. Medium bodied at best.

Not many notes. The bouquet is refined with beautiful oak, but in fact still locked. On the palate dark berries, good acidity and tannin, but the wine is not really showing itself. Wait until 2005+ For now: 91 - 93+

Creamy wine with beautiful fruits, oak, cedar and lead pencil. The wine is still locked. In this stage the bouquet is the best part. Wait until 2008 at least.

Full bodied. Sticky tannin all over. I don't trust this bottle. Although the general constitution seems to be ok, I have the impression the wine is not completely fresh. No score.

No formal notes. The wine is pleasurable with good red and dark berry fruits, good acidity and tannin, but overall it lacks a bit in concentration.

Beautiful and refined wine in the bouquet as well as on the palate. Not heavy, but very elegant with good fruits and well balanced oak. Really nice wine. Not for the very long term.

Creamy fruits, a lot of vanilla, pleasant acidity and tannin. Concentrated and creamy wine. 89+

The wine is a bit rustic in the bouquet and on the palate. Dark berries, cassis, some sweetness, good concentration, acidity and length. A bit too easy for the very long term. 89 for now.

Concentrated black fruits like cassis, beautiful oak, good acidity and tannin. Beautiful oak and graphite. This is a really beautiful wine in its youthful stage.

Concentrated black berries. A firm amount of tannin. In this stage quite straight forward. Give it some years to show its finesse. 89+ for now.

Fairly light ruby red. In the bouquet beautiful berries and sweet spices. Vanilla. Refined and beautiful wine already and certainly a future of 10+ years.

Fairly light ruby red. Good black and red berries, sweet vanilla. A lot of finesse and already a great pleasure. But is there enough concentration for the long term? Today I am not sure about that.

A beautiful and great wine with good fruits and finesse, but not of the same quality as the Haut Brion tasted beside it.

Beautiful and concentrated wine with black berries, cedar, vanilla, graphite, etc. etc. One of the best 1991 wine I have tasted.

Supple wine with ok berries and vanilla and finesse. The Léoville las Cases tasted beside it was much better. This Ducru is not for the long term.

Ripe and creamy red and black berries. This wine is still in its youthful stage. Will probably improve with some more ageing. 5+ years?

Not many notes. After the very disappointing 1990 and 1989, this wine is acceptable. Light bodied and not really interesting. No score.
