We all had to bring a wine which we forgot to open the first half of this year and our host paired it with a wine from his own collection. Some of us misinterpreted that and brought something really old. Except for our own wine we did not know any other wine and all wines were poured fully blind.
Grapefruit and marzipan in the bouquet. On the palate minerals, yellow fruits, some slightly oxidized impressions, nuts like almonds, good acidity and some herbs.

Beautiful and mature bouquet with autumn forest but also still dark and red berry fruits. On the palate still a juicy wine. And there is no real hurry to drink the wine. Impressive!
