Introduction

Every participant had to bring a wine of the theme. We did not know which wines were brought by the others. All wines were tasted blind, also without knowing when the wine you brought yourself was poured.

    France, Rhône, Southern Rhône, Châteauneuf-du-Pape

A lot of garrigue in the bouquet, also celery and marzipan. On the palate a lot of sweetness, chocolate, good acidity and soft tannin. Still a lovely wine, but I wouldn’t take the risk to wait another decade as the drinking window in Cellartracker suggests. For tonight 91 – 92
