🔸Gazpacho de sandía y tomate con salpicón de mariscos es una sopa sin textura. El salpicón lo intentan aguantar con el cebollino. Nada del otro mundo. Tengo que añadir sal para darle sabor. (12/20)

🔸Arroz de rape y gamba. Buena pinta desde un principio. Merece la visita solo por esto. Bien de punto y sabor. Abundantes tropezones. Rape y gambas bien cocinados aunque las gambas son de escasa calidad. (16/20)
🔸Tarta de ruibarbo, crema de rosas y sorbete de fresas. Enormes pedazos de ruibarbo sin cocinar, helado de fresas y crema pastelera sobre hojaldre, la de rosas murió en combate por inexistente. Justito cuando podría haber sido glorioso. (13/20)

¿Habrá vinos por copas? Ahora ya sabemos la respuesta, sí pero jodo petaca. La recomendación de Michelín no tiene mucho sentido. Un chalet antiguo, un jardín sin atractivo y una carta muy floja. La lista de vinos sin actualizar. Apenas un 13/20 siendo muy generoso.

  Rosé from a newly bottle. Fresh strawberries on plastic tray. Refreshing and acid on the palate. Short and predictable. Doggy food. Refused. There it is. House wine.
  
  Rosado de una botella nueva. Fresas frescas en bandeja de plástico. Refrescante y ácido al paladar. Corto y predecible. P'al perro. Rechazado. Ahí se ha quedado. Vino de la casa.

  Two options from Llopart's cava in the wine list but really there are not. Ribeiro Escolmas either. Smoked citrus note. Light, tasteless and very short bottle. Mineral chalk hint when tempered on the nose. It feels little digestible in the stomach. It is tempered with two bottles of Pellegrino sparkling water.
  
  Nota cítrica ahumada. Botella ligera, insípida y muy corta. Nota mineral de tiza al templarse en nariz. Se siente poco digestible al estómago. Se matiza con dos botellas de agua Pellegrino.

• 2011 Château de Fargues

  Apricots bathed in honey with floating flowers. Bitter finish, jasmine and orange blossom aftertaste. On the palate initial glyceric attack with a firm texture. Retains acidity and not topped sweet. Undoubtedly the best wine of the day. Old but still occupying a place of privilege. The photo says everything about how the bottle has been preserved. I caught the maitre recorking bottles before offering me. Shameful.
  
  Albaricoques bañados en miel con flores flotando. Final amargo, retrogusto a jazmin y a azahar. Al paladar ataque inicial glicérico con una firme textura. Conserva acidez y no rematadamente dulce. Sin dudas el mejor vino del día. Vetusto pero todavia ocupando un lugar de privilegio. La foto lo dice todo de cómo ha sido conservada la botella. Pillé al maitre recorchando botellas antes de ofrecérmelas. Vergonzoso.

• NV Barros Porto 20 Year Old Tawny Flawed

  Nose has been transformed into burnt pneumatic and astringent vegetable notes. Some say that it has only been open for two weeks, get that f#ck out of my face, instead in the mouth it has memories of coffee beans, that sweetness of camphor or condensed milk just before becoming sour. Not very representative, I’m afraid.
  
  La nariz se ha transformado en neumatico quemado y en notas vegetales astringentes. Dicen que solo lleva abierta dos semanas, los cojones 34, en cambio en boca tiene recuerdos de café, del dulzor del alcanfor o de la leche condensada justo antes de volverse agria. No muy representativo me temo.

  Elaborated in Segovia, Castilla-León out of any DO.
  Interesting marble godello on the nose. Indigestible, acid and sharp in the mouth as befits this varietal that generally speaking doesn't captivating me.
  
  Interesante godello de mármol en nariz. Indigesto, ácido y afilado en boca como corresponde a la varietal que en líneas generales me sigue sin cautivar.

• 2021 Bodega La Encina Forcallat Alicante Orange

  Satisfactory, complex and resolved nose.
  Acidity and high volatility in the mouth. The style of an orange wine is what it has. Like or hace it. As simple as that. Now I have got a bottle sleeping in my parents' cellar.
  Wanna give a try in 2023 summer. 81 years old winemaker.
  
  Nariz satisfactoria, compleja y resuelta.
  Acidez y alta volatilidad en boca. El estilo de un vino naranja es lo que tiene. Te gusta o lo odias. Tan simple como eso. Ahora tengo una botella durmiendo en la bodeguita de mis padres. Voy a darle otra oportunidad en el veranito del 2023. Bodeguero de 81 años.

  Nose of candy with estiercol and easy texture although with final dry scratch in mouth. I honestly did not expect anything else.

  Peach stone, salty note or plastic under the sun. The good taste is living among varieties. On the palate it offers a pointed acidity, tasty wine with an abrupt finish.
  More than a simple rosé.
  
  Hueso de melocotón, nota salina o plástico al sol. En la variedad está el gusto.
  Al paladar ofrece una acidez puntiaguda, sabroso vino con un abrupto final.
  Más que un simple rosado.

  Murky colour, theoretical feast of tempranillo. Too much acidity in the mouth, almost indigestible. Indescifrable monastrell served blindly. Apparently it’s impossible to find this bottle.
  
  Turbio color, la teórica fiesta del tempranillo. Demasiada acidez en boca, casi indigesto. Monastrell indescifrable servida a ciegas. Aparentemente ya es imposible encontrar esta botella.

• 2018 San Gregorio Calatayud Glotón

  Snacking with Desperados mojito beer. Synthetic closure. Opaque colour. Ripe black fruit on the nose with notes of licorice, coal, pure cocoa and black pepper.
  On the palate it is a full-bodied wine with a very dense texture, high alcoholic strength, very contained acidity, tasty but not very persistent. Absurdly modern but at the same time easy and gastronomic. Considering what it really is and how little it costs ... Not bad at all. Intensity for we the poorest. Two years laying down in my parents' cellar.
  
  Aperitivando con cerveza Desperados mojito. Cierre sintético. Color opaco. Fruta negra madura en nariz con notas de regaliz, polvo de carbón, cacao puro y pimienta negra.
  Al paladar es un vino de gran cuerpo, textura muy densa, alto grado alcohólico, acidez muy contenida, sabroso pero no muy persistente. Absurdamente moderno pero al mismo tiempo facilón y gastronómico. Considerando lo que realmente es y lo poco que cuesta ... No mal del todo. Intensidad para nosotros los más pobres. Dos años tumbada en la bodeguita de mis padres.

• 2006 Château de la Dauphine

  P&P. Cork in a perfect shape. Well-known winery, owned by several people since I started to drink it where everything's alright but a defined style. Predominant merlot on the nose, plums and iron ore mainly additionally coal and veggie note from CF.
  On the palate sounds a very old story in Fronsac, something rustic, something direct yet elegant. At this present moment shows unbalanced and little alcoholic. Short with a velvety texture at the same time. Undoubtedly I have had better bottles from here in spite winery consider 2006 one of the best vintages ever.
  
  Abierta y servida. Corcho en perfecto estado. Conocida bodega, propiedad de varias personas desde que empecé a beberlo donde todo está bien salvo un estilo definido. Merlot predominante en nariz, ciruelas y mineral de hierro principalmente, además de carbón y notas vegetales procedentes de la CF.
  Al paladar suena una historia muy antigua en Fronsac, algo rústico, algo directo pero elegante. En este momento actual se muestra desequilibrado y un poco alcohólico. Corto con una textura aterciopelada al mismo tiempo. Sin duda he tenido mejores botellas desde por aquí a pesar de que la bodega considera 2006 como una de las mejores añadas que han eleborado.

  By the glass. This current leader of Italian sparkling wines, ratified on the podiums of speed circuits, continues in its effort to soften the intensity of chardonnay of Trentino on this occasion selecting grapes from a specific soil and a specific vintage resulting in a wine decompensated in acidity, intrusive bubble, with length but with too international profile. High prices to pay go accordingly.
  
  Por copas. El actual líder de los vinos espumosos italianos, ratificado en los podios de los circuitos de velocidad, continua en su esfuerzo por suavizar la intensidad de la uva chardonnay del Trentino en esta ocasión seleccionando uva de un terreno concreto y de una añada específica obteniendo como resultado un vino descompensado en cuanto a acidez, de burbuja intrusiva, con longitud pero con un perfil demasiado internacional. Los altos precios a pagar van acorde.

Using old methods to make wines nowadays for more than thirty years give this result from bottles that have gone from being unclassifiable to being stinkingly desired especially in white. The power of oxidation.
  
  Por copas. Vino natural elaborado en ánforas enterradas con el beneplácito de TDA la crítica. Emplear viejos métodos para elaborar vinos de hoy en día desde hace más de treinta años dan este resultado de unas botellas que han pasado de ser inclasificables a ser apestososamente deseados especialmente en color blanco. El poder de la oxidación.

  By the glass. Amazing wine decades ago, in a totally recognizable style today. No surprises the intense and energetic aromas of horseshit, sweat of a thoroughbred after a morning in Kentucky prevail over vegetable and even fruit notes in this bottle. Extremely long palate, dense and abundant. Theoretically for a few years, they only bring it to market when consider it is ready. It’s a good thing...
  
  Por copas. Sorprendente hace decenios, de un estilo totalmente reconocible hoy en día. Sin sorpresas los intensos y energéticos aromas a mierdaza de caballo, sudor de un purasangre después de una mañana en Kentucky prevalecen sobre notas vegetales e incluso frutales en esta botella. Extremadamente largo al paladar, denso y abundante. Teóricamente desde hace unos años solo lo sacan al mercado cuando consideran que está listo. Menos mal ...

  By the glass. Do not look for this winery within the honor roll of traditionalist producers. Intense nose with an evident lack of harmony when offering notes of rose petals and tar. Seriously extracted on the palate, aspect that is reinforced in a cuvée of old vines like this. Nevertheless it is tasty and well long. Many doubts about its future because it seems ready right now. Perhaps it is the least modern of the wines in the winery. At least they say so.
  
  Por copas. No busques a esta bodega dentro de los cuadro de honor de los productores tradicionalistas. Intenso en nariz con una evidente falta de armonía al ofrecer notas de pétalos de rosas y alquitrán. Seriamente extractado al paladar, aspecto que se refuerza en una cuvée de viñas viejas como ésta. No obstante es sabroso y bien largo. Muchas dudas respecto a su futuro porque parece listo ahora mismo. Quizás es el menos moderno de los vinos de la bodega. Al menos eso dicen.

• 2016 Elio Altare Barolo Unoperuno

  By the glass from a single bottle. Defining a terroir as traditional as La Morra by wines made by one of the modernist pioneers seems a total contradiction but fragrances that come off this bottle are of first category despite that zero contact of the skins of the grapes. Palate is elegant, almost aristocratic, with a velvety texture, a central acidity and a tasty, very long finish that leads to a delicious and mineral aftertaste.
  Modern and slightly eccentric, okay, but with a sense and a lot of personality.
  
  Por copas de una única botella. Definir un terruño tan tradicional como La Morra por los vinos elaborados por uno de los pioneros modernistas parece un total contrasentido pero las fragancias que se desprenden de esta botella son de primera categoría pese al nulo contacto contacto de las pieles de las uvas. En boca se muestra elegante, casi aristocrático, con una textura aterciopelada, una acidez central y un final sabroso, muy largo que desemboca en un retrogusto delicioso y mineral.
  Moderno y ligeramente excéntrico, de acuerdo, pero con un sentido y mucha personalidad.

  By the glass. Despite variations between vintages, this 100% sangiovese is truly excellent. Aromas of red fruit scented with sweet spices. Lots of wood initially that takes a long time to dissipate. Tasty on the palate, balanced wine that needs to be oxygenated to offer its true qualities.
  
  Por copas. Pese a las variaciones entre añadas, este 100% sangiovese es verdaderamente excelente. Aromas a fruta roja perfumada con especias dulces. Mucha madera inicialmente que tarda bastante en disiparse. Sabrosa en boca, equilibrado vino que necesita oxigenarse para ofrecer sus verdaderas cualidades.

  By the glass from a single bottle. International style that seeks excellence hiding terroir. Waves of macerated black berries with cherries in liqueur and a slightly menthol note. Delicious combination that unfortunately is not followed in the mouth where we discover a wine with too much extraction, insufficient central acidity to address such a structure, resulting in an imbalance that only time can harmonize. I will not wait and I doubt it will repeat here. Serious doubts about my 03 Sassicaia.
  
  Por copas de una única botella. Estilo internacional que busca la excelencia ocultando el terruño. Oleadas de bayas negras maceradas junto a cerezas en licor con una nota ligeramente mentolada. Deliciosa combinación que por desgracia no es seguida en boca donde descubrimos un vino con demasiada extracción, una insuficiente acidez central para abordar semejante estructura, dando lugar a un desequilibrio que sólo el tiempo puede armonizar. No pienso esperar y dudo que vuelva a repetir aquí. Serías dudas acerca mi 03 Sassicaia.

  Ideally served very cold in a hot morning, Suggestive stale aromas, of nuts and sour fruit. On the palate it is pungent, acidic, with much persistence thanks to this central acidity of unripe apples, usually indicative of long open time. Delicious and bitter. Always a guaranteed success that only snobbery despises.
  
  Idealmente servido muy frío en una mañana calurosa, sugerentes aromas rancios, de frutos secos y de fruta ácida. Al paladar se muestra pungente, ácida, con mucha persistencia gracias a la acidez central de la manzana sin madurar, normalmente indicativo de llevar mucho tiempo abierta. Delicioso y amargo. Siempre un éxito garantizado que sólo el esnobismo desprecia.

  Served excessively cold. Hellish black colour. Undaunted aromas of plums and cherry picks. Absolute simplicity. On the palate it is a dense wine, heavy but without persistence beyond its tannicity. Easy, monotone wine looking for a very concrete audience. Marketing operation that seems to have very short legs.
  
  Servido excesivamente frío. Color negro infernal. Impávidos aromas a ciruelas y cerezas picotas. Simpleza absoluta. Al paladar es un vino denso, pesado pero sin persistencia más allá de su tanicidad. Facilón, monótono vino buscando un público muy concreto. Operación de marketing que parece tener las patas muy cortas.

  Beautiful colour of salmonish trout . Fine and brittle bubbles. Delicious limestone aromas with wild small strawberries. Complex and well intertwined. In the mouth it is dense, full of flavour, deliciously acidic with length and depth. One bottle was not enough. Under the last drop.
  
  Bello color de la trucha asalmonada. Finas y quebradizas burbujas. Deliciosos aromas calizos a fresitas silvestres. Complejos y bien entrelazados. En boca tiene densidad, se presenta pleno de sabor, deliciosamente ácido pero con longitud y profundidad. Una botella no fue suficiente. Hasta la última gota.

  Beautiful honeyed colour. Lemony muscat on the nose. Soft and fully aromatic. In the mouth it retains a delicate density together with a well integrated alcohol. Surprisingly now that can only improve but totally enjoyable just right now.
  
  Bello color amielado. Moscatel alimonado en nariz. Suave y plenamente aromático. En boca conserva una delicada densidad junto con un alcohol bien integrado. Una sorpresa que solo puede mejorar pero ahora mismo, totalmente disfrutable.
