Pear, slight brioche, tropical fruit, lots of complexity that make it difficult to tease out individual flavors. At the same time, it seemed understated.
Decanted per "rather be drinking wine". Earth, leather, cherry, chocolate, bright fruit, pretty berries, this would be a ringer in a right bank tasting. The acid keeps it lively. A rare wine where the complexity and the fruit are both showing well.

2011 Domaine / Maison Vincent Girardin Corton-Charlemagne Quintessence 93 Points
France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru
Exactly what Burgundy Al said on 4/1/2022. Quintessential white burgundy, chiseled minerality and also buttery richness, saline.
