Walkaround gala tasting. Lots of power and ripe orchard fruit throughout, but more bready than I recall from many previous bottles, and seemingly less energy. This is a wine that has almost always thrilled me, but tonight's bottle seemed less fresh, particularly in contrast to the special "Chef de Cave" edition tasted next.
Walkaround gala tasting. Crisp yellow and green apple throughout, this has an engaging brightness with sneaky good power and length. Wonderful balance.
Walkaround gala tasting. Cross-section of ripe, fresh, and mature apple character with sweet and savory spice. Wonderful now, some possible further upside as it evolves. Very good depth.
Walkaround gala tasting. Rich, tasty and powerful but starting to lose steam. Surprising because I purchased this on release and have stored it well since.
Walkaround gala tasting. Bright, slightly lean, while powerful and so energetic with lots of apple & lemon, plus such good balance. My first time trying this vintage!
Tasted at gala dinner. Wonderfuuly floral with stone fruit and lemon confit. Bright finish with very good length. While I truly enjoyed this, others always seem to enjoy Keller more than I do.
Tasted at gala dinner from some very large format (3L? 5L?). Great nose of mature black plum and cherry, still enough freshness with dried fruit, too. Leather, cedar, braised meat, and savory spice all contribute even more. Everything well balanced, sneaky good length. A great wine tonight.
Opened and gala dinner. Alongside 1991. Still lush, fresh enough, nicely complex spices adding to fresh & mature black cherry and currant. Very good now,
Tasted alongside 1992 at gala dinner. Fully mature, less exciting than it was in its youth, coming across as enjoyable but less complex than 1992. Still easy to enjoy with very good length.
USA, California, Napa Valley, Spring Mountain District
Tasted at gala alongside 1997. Firm from start-to-finish making it seem slightly austere, but with good+ depth and power. Some richness on finish. At its peak.
USA, California, Napa Valley, Spring Mountain District
Tasted at gala alongside 1992. Rich black fruit and spice, while wonderfully balanced. Enough structure just off center with everything nicely harmonious.
France, Burgundy, Côte de Nuits, Latricières-Chambertin Grand Cru
Tasted at gala dinner. This far exceeded my expectations, given my experience with this wine and 2005s being generally so brooding and backward. This was fun and fleshy with rich, lush fruit in harmony with its obvious structure. Already very good.
France, Burgundy, Côte de Nuits, Vosne-Romanée 1er Cru
Tasted at gala dinner. Red fruit, savory spice, very Vosne styled, faintly ripe and mature. In a fairly light style for 1er Cru, but balanced and certainly enjoyable.
1985 Moët & Chandon Champagne Cuvée Dom Pérignon 92 Points

Walkaround gala tasting. Still holding well, lots of complexity emerges, even as it is losing brightness. Fun and interesting.
