Roberto 50 (Søllerød Kro): Smooth and sweet, this hits the nerve - probably the best Burgundy, we had that night.A good example of both the house-style, of Vosne (oh, yes) and of the vintage 2000, that seems ready to drink across the board, this creamy effort with lots of red fruit offers personality and locale to the equation. Will keep, but no sin to drink now
Vancouver Confrerie Chapitre des Valentines (Five Sails - Vancouver, BC): This was super funky on those nose, showing animal meaty notes layered with sappy dark fruits and some violet floral aromas. More earth and funk on the palate along with concentrated dark berries, black cherries, and black licorice. Plenty of firm acidity with dusty tannins. Great depth and concentration with a pure velvet texture, this was just delicious. Much more interest than the Village VR tasted along side. This still needs time and patience will surely be rewarded. Fantastic
This thing was that bretty that we thought team Henschke had snuck an old Beaucastel into the line-up. There are some sweet red berry things that are completely monstered by horsey, meaty, sweaty, band aidy things.
