Overall, I came away pleasantly surprised by the 2006s overall- they fit my palate quite well (and more than I expected to). I think I may enjoy them much in the way that I enjoy 2001 Bordeaux, although they are not necessarily vintages with similar characteristics. I have bought a few favorite bottles, and will buy more widely when prices come down significantly.

slightly green sauv blanc-dominated nose. Similar on palate with a sweetish finish

Sweeter than the Malartic. Greenish on nose too with slightly more giving fruit.

2006 Château Latour-Martillac 90 Points
France, Bordeaux, Graves, Pessac-Léognan

Rounder fruit and funk on nose than Carbonnieux, best nose of this table, including Malartic. Tannic on the palate, with crushed rock and plenty of acidity. Needs time. 89-91

Quite pretty, tighter knit on nose, palate less impressive than the Malartic. Decent finish.
