Like drinking liquid satin. So soft and smooth. Beautifully rich. Cellared for 15 years. Saving our last 2008 for our 50th Anniversary in 2026.

Bought this on the recommendation of the Prince of Pinot website. Red hue with clear rim; forest floor, red berries; Cherry all over, some stems maybe but could be wrong, acid to age, low tanin. This is an elegant, beautiful pinot drinking exceptionally well now with many years in front of it. One of the better pn I have had this year.

I think there is a bit of bottle variation on these. But this was PnP over the course of about an hour or so at annual holiday party. Solid QPR performer as always. Really love this Pinot and this particular vintage.

Best Pinot I've had all year. Smooth. Nuanced. Just enough acid. Plenty of fruit. Long delicious finish. Best of about 5 or 6 of the Roots Pinots that I've had from the various vineyards from this vintage.

This wine is even better than the last bottle that I had a couple of months ago. Had this in Riedel Burgundy Sommelier glasses and that didn't hurt! Dark coloration. Deep complex nose of dark cherries, some vanilla/oak and a hint of spice. Lovely nose and in the mouth the flavors were similar with a smoothness that was voluptuous. Last time I had this, I bought a half case. This time, I bought a case, and thought about buying two. Can't remember when a wine did this to me, but the quality for the price is insane. Drinking incredibly well right now. I suspect it will drink well for years to come. How many? I'm not sure I'll save them for long enough to know, but it has some stuffing.

Outstanding pinot. Was paired with ham for an Easter gathering and perfectly complimented and enhanced the flavor of the meat. This is a big luscious pinot with velvety fruits and tannins with a multitude of lingering flavors on the back end. Wish we had more!

Really nice wine for ~$20 and especially admirable for a Pinot Noir at that price, an even greater rarity. I've had a few that are even more vibrant or engaging for the price, but still a solid buy.

Nose is not super powerful nor complex, but definitely really pretty. A quiet, gentle perfume of ripe red cherries mingles with a subtle but noticeable earthy/stemmy quality. This gentle stemmy tone is a nice touch, well-integrated, and places it above a lot of $20 Pinot, although when considering other reds in the price range, there's some intense competition.

Palate is similar; subtle, nothing surprising, but very nice and drinkable. More of the nice cherry from the nose, on the ripe side but certainly not overdone. Less earthiness, but quite a bit of tannin that lends a nice texture. It's a little chalky though, because the acidity is a pinch on the lower side when compared to the fruit and tannin; not flabby at all, but 25% more energy would really help the balance. I understand 2018 was a pretty hot vintage in the Willamette, so this is still definitely well-made.

Awesome. Decanted 1 hr. Cherries & floral nose. Vanilla cake as well. Much heavier in the mouth than it looks, but yet has that wonderful PN silkiness. Dark fruit and pepper. Lingers on the palate. Love this wine.

Drank this 2 weeks ago. Don't remember details, but it was ridiculously delicious. I decanted for about an hour before dinner, drank it with salmon in a pea-puree sauce. Wine was simply phenomenal. Some of my other OR 2008 pinots haven't seemed quite ready, but this was smoking after an hour of air. Everyone loved it ... even my wife who generally hates pinots. Wish I had more.

First of the three non-reds sent to us by Chris. Light yellow and lively. Beautiful nose, with just the right amount of complexity. Upon opening it was a little tight with some green apple and light woody notes. As it breathed and warmed up it added in some elements of pear and wet grass. An attack of citrus on the palate. Mainly lemon and lime, and slight undertones of freshly ground orange peel. Smooth and medium bodied with some great foamy texture. Tastes similar to a grower's champagne. Long crisp finish with bright acidity that carries through. Stunning sparkling wine. Great job Chris! Drink till 2023.

Best showing yet. Isn't that how it goes? Last of a cased a half. Well integrated. It went through a bit of a higher acid period shortly after purchase. Wish I'd laid off them back then a bit more, but it was my go to PN for a few years. Will have to search this out in more recent vintages.

A little tight at first, but this really opened up over several hours. Had this with a roast pork loin. Great match. Fruit driven. Sappy. Good structure without being blowsy. Might have to repurchase.

The acidity, earthiness and lighter weight red paired wonderfully. Out of the gate with red cherry, strawberry, raspberry, fresh herbs, allspice, and a “ woodsy” aroma.
