Read everyone's notes, but did not know how good this was until I tried it. This is my top Merlot right now. Went out and bought 2007, 2008 and more 2009, and even their Cabernet which must be good. |

Even on second day had to test slowly, waiting for wine to reach best stage. Then soft and flavorful fruit and spices. Nicely balanced with alcohol. A very good Shiraz at that time. |

Very rich and smooth with bright red cherry fruit. Mild earthiness in background. Lingering aftertaste. Very high quality producer. Just signed up for their pre-release mailing list. Will order everything - their Syrah, Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. |

Aroma not very expressive, tasted a little tart and alcohol noticeable. Day 2, decanted for 10 hours. Aroma still not very expressive, but soft, exquisite taste emerged of dark fruits and spices with nice vanilla aftertaste. Had with some Gouda cheese which helped take the edge off this young wine. Starting to enjoy this very much. |

I took it down a couple points because it was almost too rich and dense to drink more than one glass a day. While this is good, I prefer DuMol Pinot Noir. |
