Increible. Excelente.

Appearance: Bright and clear, the wine is of medium golden colour, with watery fading rims and legs.
Nose: Clean, with pronounced intensity aromas of citrus fruit of lemon, stone fruit of peach, tropical fruit of pineapple, mineral notes of stony and saline, maturity notes of petrol and honey, floral notes of honeysuckle, sweet spice of ginger. The wine is developing.
Palate: Dry with medium (+) acidity, the wine has medium alcohol, with medium (-) body and medium (+) intensity flavours of citrus fruit of lemon, stone fruit of peach, mineral notes of stony, floral notes of honeysuckle, tropical fruit of mango, sweet spice of ginger, maturity notes of honey. The wine has a medium (+) finish.
Conclusion: Very good quality German Riesling with an amazing nose of great intensity, showing good complexity with fruit, mineral and profound development characters, with everything in good balance and harmony. The wine is elegant, with perfect blend of refreshing acidity, concentrated flavours and a very long finish. It is ready to drink now and can maintain for another 4-6 years.

some lime, green apple, only few riping signs, passionfruit, lack of acidity for a moselriesling, missing length and complexity

JR pretty much nails it. It's very drinkable, but tastes a bit sweet. The fruit also on the rather ripe side, but there is in fact a lot of enticing fruit. The acidity could be a bit fresher but it's round and balanced. Good but not excellent Riesling. Will not particularly appeal to the hard-core Mosel lovers. 88+

13,5% alcohol, 7 g/l residual sugar, 7,5 g/l acidity.

Medium-deep neon lime green color. Fragrant and expressive nose with ripe aromas of sweet, perfumed white flower notes, some ripe citrus fruits, a little bit of waxy character and a hint of peach. The wine feels medium-bodied, pretty smooth and juicy on the palate with dry and somewhat linear flavors of steely minerality, ripe citrus fruits, some beeswaxy richness and honeyed sweetness and a hint of red apple. The wine is structured and very balanced with high acidity, yet the wine comes across as somewhat oily on the palate. The finish is lively, refreshing and steely with tasty, ripe flavors of ripe red apples, some sweeter citrus fruits, a little bit of floral apple blossom character and a hint of beeswax.

A very nice, refreshing and sophisticated GG Riesling that feels still a bit too young and, thus, somewhat linear and uncomplicated. Although drinkable already, I can imagine this wine would benefit from at least 5 years worth of further cellaring. At 39,89€, the wine feels quite overpriced now, but things might change, if the wine develops some further complexity in cellar.

typical mosel riesling, I miss the fruit to give the wine a long aging future, drank it 2011, maybe to early, will try it again in few weeks, nice minerality and luscious acidity

Medium-deep golden yellow color. Somewhat developed nose with aromas of ripe and sweet yellow apples, slightly wizened red apples, some honey, a little bit of old Riesling's raw potato character and a touch of stone dust. The wine is intense, full-bodied and broad on the palate with ripe, medium-dry and somewhat developed flavors of petrol, some play-doh, a little bit of honey, a hint of lemon marmalade and a touch of honeydew melon. The residual sugar cuts through at times, only to be masked once again by that steely Mosel minerality. The finish is ripe, somewhat steely and off-dry with slightly oily mouthfeel and rich, layered flavors of ripe citrus fruits, some honeydew melon, a little bit of that developed raw potat character and a touch of lemon marmalade.

A very lovely and nicely developed Mosel Riesling that is in a beautiful phase right now. Perhaps not the most complex or memorable Riesling with some age, but nevertheless a very attractive effort. I can't say I'm a fan of that raw potato aroma some older Rieslings seem to develop, but it wasn't bad enough to bother me. A delicious wine to be enjoyed on its own or with more aromatic cheeses.

Gold capsule version of this wine. Tropical nose (kiwi, mango, pineapple) with a good dose of saltiness. Has lost some of its acidity relative to a couple years ago, but still mouth watering levels of acidity (must serve chilled for this to come through), with pleny of ripe granny smith apple on the on the long finish which ends with a pleasant bit of stone and bitterness. A definite notch above the Grans-Fassian white capsule 02 Piesporter Goldtropfchen spatlese. Comparable quality level to the Fritz Haag 02 Braunberger Juffer spatlese, but a completely different style (less clean and precise than the F. Haag, which continues to be my favorite of the three 02 Spatlese).
