This wine simply showcased what a Bourgogne should be like - fresh, clean, vibrant, good red fruit, bright acidity, none of the overripe, over extracted stuff I've seen from many makers - that to me is a sign the flaws need to be hidden. This was a beautifully drinking wine, certainly no rush to consume, but I doubt it will grow to be significantly better. I liked the "dirtiness" on this wine, yet with the red and blue fruit in the foreground. Lovely wine. |
