6/30/2011 - fatsdmx wrote: 90 pointsVery disappointing nose of VA. Unexpected that this blew off (luckily I stuck around to taste it instead of dumping down the drain). What remained was very nice and enjoyable VP, seeming to still have years and layers remaining. No heat, not overly sweet for Graham. VA took about half hour to die off. |

11/5/2016 - fatsdmx Likes this wine: NRCork pulled with Ah-so, bottom very mushy but in tact. Wine continued to open, evolve, and mellow over the six hour consumption. Aged bordeaux is a new experience for us. Subtle and lingering is the way I would describe the flavors of this old wine however the nose remained muted. An enjoyable and contemplative evening. Would not expect this to deteriorate much over the coming years so will hold and ration remaining bottles. |

12/24/2018 - fatsdmx wrote: NRCork disintegrated while opening. No nose upon decanting for about 10 minutes, then it awoke. A dark wine with almost no bricking. Continual evolution of flavours over the course of an hour, including the smoky undertones noted in other tasting notes. Some found this off-putting. Definitely started to unravel after an hour and begin to go a bit astringent/flat. The first hour with this wine far exceeded my expectations. |

12/25/2019 - fatsdmx wrote: NRThis was a really nice surprise. Had not heard of this wine but highly recommend. Not big on the nose, but this could be attributed to cool serving temperature. No sediment, dark ruby in color, long finish. Sweet tannin prevalent. Aged quality to the blue fruit. I will seek out other offerings thru this vineyard. |
