2019 Raul Pérez Rías Baixas Atalier a cruz das ánimasAlbariño more |
9/25/2020 - KristianT Likes this wine: 93 pointsFresh and crisp. One of the very best Rías Baixas I have had ( and I have had many!). Has the structure and elegance of a great premier cru Bourgogne or maybe even Grand Cru. Perfect companion to seafood or as an aperitif. Drink exceptionally well now but could be really interesting to leave in the cellar and see what else it has to offer. |

6/19/2015 - KristianT Likes this wine: 91 pointsVery good Albariño. Exotic notes of pineapple and pear. Quite Bourgogne like . Excellent wine. Could be interesting to see how it develops, but absolutely delicious now. Should not be served too cold. |

2008 Fratelli Ferrero Barbera d'Alba Gorettamore |
6/29/2013 - KristianT wrote: 87 pointsFresh acidity. Dark garnet colour. Typical Barbera that really need some food to go with it. Dry and powerful on the palate. Could probably benefit from a couple of more years in the cellar. |

2010 Larkmead Vineyards Cabernet SauvignonNapa Valley more |
7/3/2021 - KristianT Likes this wine: 95 pointsHaven't had this since visiting the winery some six years ago. What a treat. Clearly California Cabernet, but with the elegance of a Bordeaux. Wonderfully old-school Napa. Amazing bottle. Still great freshness and plenty of years left and likely room for even more improvement. |

1/24/2014 - KristianT wrote: 92 pointsDamn... Very dense and quite over extracted. Hard to believe that it is 10 years old. Much more like a Syrah or a Tempranillo than a Cabernet. I doubt that this will develop, it will keep. Very good wine, but I prefer the style of the older vintages. |

2011 Caymus Cabernet SauvignonNapa Valley more |
3/13/2021 - KristianT Likes this wine: 92 pointsVery healthy cork. Really dark colour. Didn't really show its ten years age. The nose and taste didn't really match as it came across much more meaty and rustic on the nose but more balanced when you drink it. A very good glass of Californian Cabernet but less elegant than l remember the Caymus wines. |

3/28/2014 - KristianT Likes this wine: 90 pointsFull bodied yet elegant. New world power and old world balance. Very smooth and pleasant. A bit short, bit a very good wine nonetheless. Perfectly mature now, but should keep for some years. |

4/21/2014 - KristianT Likes this wine: 93 pointsOutstanding. Very healthy bottle. Perfect balance and the softest tannins. Notes of cedar and tobacco. Elegant but not overwhelming fruit. Almost Bordeaux like. Great wine peaking now, but could keep for a long time. Alas this was my last bottle. |

2/28/2010 - KristianT wrote: 90 pointsHad this wine last night. Naturally we were a little worried if this wine was still drinkable, but were very positively surprised. This fully mature wine was drinking extremely well for a 33 year old. It had distict notes of eucalyptus and mint on the nose. Smooth and round on the palate with a long and lingering aftertaste. A great bottle of old wine made in old world style (with only 12% alchohol). |

10/22/2023 - KristianT Likes this wine: 93 pointsPopped and pured. Extremely healthy cork. Dark colour and immediate notes of eucalyptus and mint that immediately brings you to Californian cabernet. Quite astringent at first sip, but showed great promise. After about thirty minutes and a lot of swirling in the glass it starts to reveal layer upon layer of taste. |

4/20/2024 - KristianT Likes this wine: 92 pointsGreat classic California Bordeaux blend (80% Cabernet, 17% Merlot and 3% Petit Verdot). Dense and intense, balanced. Clear notes of mint and a hint of eucalyptus. Very appealing and delicious, but a little short if looking at the finer nuances. |

9/26/2020 - KristianT Likes this wine: 90 pointsPitch black. One of the better Mollydooker wines but I will never be a fan. Way to heavy... But that said - it is actually a good wine, bit the 16.5% alcohol shows. Fascinating rather than great. |
