Sweet smelling, coffee, pineapple, malt.
Low acidity, some sweet fruit, creamy. Not bad. And only 12% ABV, how do they do that?

Cassis fruit, dark fruit and an even zesty acidity, somehow filled out in the background. General impression that of a supermarket cab (those flavors) made very well - as a real wine.

Tasted at the Three Borders Wine Group, Hampshire, UK. Dark garnet colour. Peppery, strawberries on nose. The palate has upfront fruit showing raspberries, pomegranate, cassis. This is quite a big wine and really needs food. Probably better in another couple of years. Pleasant overall.

Red purple colour with strong blackberry fruit and grippy tannins - but mellowed after 1 hour. Preference is as a food wine

Thick and quite dense, cherry, not preposterously tannic but broad. There is a little juiciness here but I wouldn't' call it particularly acidic. Knowing it's from the roasting hot hinterland of Australia this is well done…And superb QPR at 15 AUD.

Sweet and ripe generic white aromas. Simple palate with ripe fruits, slight hard bitter notes but a mild redemption with a hint of musk in the back end. Better than it could have been.

Is it a bird, is it a plane, no it’s a pinot grigio. Honestly this could be any manner of simple commercial white. Sweetish, dumb, a total non event. Definitely don’t bother.

{screwcap, 14.5%} Big, rich and plummy. In flavour and texture not unlike trying to drink a velvet cushion. Open-knit grapey tannins, lots of liquorice and chocolate fruit; really sweet, almost jammy black fruit, medium/full-bodied, but not in an intimidating way; rather it's bit and friendly and cuddle, sort-of like an obese uncle. Certainly smells sweet, but the finish is dry enough; there's isn't really the huge weight to this that you might expect. A bit of a Wizard-of-Oz wine, all front and not so scary once you've dealt with it. Don't think this is for aging, whatever the pretentions of the Three Bridges label...

color: aubergine; nose: earth and oak; taste: medium- to full-bodied mouth feel, fruity but also a little vegetal, medium-length chewy finish with notes of cherry and black pepper; overall: decent and worth buying again, fruity but not a fruit bomb, probably would pair well w/burgers or grilled flank steak

Med- intensity. Citrus fruit, grassy. Some passionfruit. Waxy, fattier texture than the light body would've implied. Low intensity, short finish. Hint of needles from acidity in the end (added?).

Just got in from Opimium and i think premature to drink and rate still as has some maturing to do - otherwise this comes off as a little hot, slight over the top fruit forward red that has bright fruit and a little floral note that i would think is the viognier. Will not sample again till 2015.

Stay tuned though as given price, I think this will be a fairly straightforward Oz red that meets QPR.

NobleRottersSydney - 1996 night (360 Bar & Dining, Sydney): {375ml, screwcap} {Glenn} A developing blend of tart apples and apricot. Steely and sweet. Like an iron beam covered in honey. The palate is translucent and light, medium/dry for sweetness and with a glassy character. It has a freshness to it, but also a brittleness that suggests it will fall over very quickly. For now, it’s very drinkable, and avoids too much heavy sugary botrytis cloying character which often mars Riverina sweeties.
