5/21/2024 - ziavino wrote: 92 pointsThis is a terrific value, sporting notes of strawberry, pomegranate, cranberry, and baking spices throughout. Hints of minerality weave in, and a welcome pinch of tannins emerge late, lingering on the medium finish. Mouthwatering acidity keeps this fresh and lively too. |

4/27/2024 - Vinnut Likes this wine: 91 pointsMedium ruby red in color. Full, forward & fragrant nose of ripe fruit aromas of red cherries, strawberries & kirsch with overtones of earthy/dusty & floral notes, spices, tea, underbrush, minerals, smoky & a hint of vanilla/oak. Medium bodied with a good concentration of balanced & smooth textured, ripe fruit flavors of strawberries & cranberries & pomegranate with some spices, minerals, tea & vanilla/oak. Lingering finish. Drinks quite well at present with extended airing although it should develop further with additional aging. |

4/2/2024 - goodvitis.com Likes this wine: 93 pointsThis offers absolutely delicious aromas of pure black and Bing cherries that go so deep for so long, they almost complete; I guess you can call plum, red currant, rosehip as well. Medium bodied, it has crisp and crunch acid and finely grained, densely packed tannin. Flavors include tart cherry, cranberry, red currant, dill, and clove. With extended air this fills out a bit on the palate and becomes stylistically like modern Burgundy. The added weight extends the depth of flavor. |

4/2/2024 - goodvitis.com Likes this wine: 92 pointsThe nose features orange blossom, chamomile, honeysuckle, canned peach and apricot, and passion fruit. This one is full bodied, softer and juicier than the standard sauvignon blanc, with a glycerin texture. A nice sweetness balances the acid, leading to a very pleasant structure. Flavors include white and yellow peaches, yellow grapefruit, green apple, Arizona Green Tea with Honey, and Indian spice. I imagine this might appeal to a broader range of palates than the non-Tee version. While it doesn’t give off classic New Zealand vibes, it has density, depth, and diversity that isn’t normally there. It’s quite good, though I’m not sure I’d want an entire bottle to myself. However, I’d love to share it with people. |

4/2/2024 - goodvitis.com Likes this wine: 91 pointsGrapefruit, white peach, chamomile, honeysuckle, and lime headline the bouquet. Medium weighted on the palate, it has big acid and a slight textural grit. Flavors run gooseberry, pink grapefruit, flint, and white pepper. While weightier than most New Zealander sauvignon blanc, it doesn’t lack anything in the acid department where it’s linear, racy, and maybe even a little phenolic tart. Extend air does add a bit of fattiness to the wine that reduces the tartness. |

4/2/2024 - goodvitis.com Likes this wine: 92 pointsThe nose wafts loads of peach and apricot, plus lemon, honeysuckle, and cantaloupe. Full bodied, almost opulent fleshiness balances with cutting, textural acid, going from big and round on entry to sharp and linear on exit. Peach, tart Granny Smith Apple, elderflower, unripe almond, and lemon pith fill out the flavor profile. There’s just a clear juxtaposition between the rich juiciness of this wine and the slight tartness of the fruit. While it’s not terminal to the wine, this is one for the faint of heart to avoid. |

2/20/2024 - Wine Canuck wrote: 90 pointsThis pours light ruby in the glass. The nose is expressive and appealing with modest complexity. The predominantly fruit driven aromas show red cherry, pomegranite, grapefruit, peonies, pine needles, and a touch of new leather. The palate is light and elegant entering on the tart red fruit. The mid-palate shows medium minus tannin and medium plus acid with a touch fo grapefruit pith. The finish isn't terribly long but is appealing with tart grapefruit and cranberry closing things out. All in all this is a significantly better showing then when tasted a couple of years back. Seems a couple of years of age and lessened the reduction despite the screwcap. This is a tidy little wine that I find quite appealing. |

2/6/2024 - isaacjamesbaker wrote: 92 pointsMedium yellow color. So bright and inviting on the nose with ruby red grapefruit, green melon, limes, and the fruit is mixed with a complex blend of honey, tropical flowers, with nuanced green herbs and wild leeks. The palate sports gorgeous, pleasantly creamy texture, matched by brisk acidity, with pristine balance. Flavors of white peach, lemons and limes, cantaloupe, and honeydew. The fruit is tossed with complex notes of stones and chalk dust, minerals, white pepper, wild green herbs. It has this stony, mountain stream clarity, lots of precision, and a long finish. A NZ Sauv Blanc to win over any skeptics. |

8/20/2023 - Eric Guido Likes this wine: NRThe 2022 Loveblock Sauvignon Blanc is delicate and refined, demanding a smaller bulbed glass, as I typically like larger glasses, but that takes away from the nuanced aromas here. Lemon zesty, kiwi and a spritz of grapefruit combine with hints of sweet spice. It's soft textured, with suggestions of liquid stone or slate giving way to sour melon. This leaves a citrusy concentration while leaving the palate perfectly reset for another sip. Well done, but look elsewhere if you want a big and spicy New Zealand Sauv Blanc. |

5/27/2023 - BottleScholar Likes this wine: NRPoached pear, candied lemon peel, mandarin orange, white peach, barely-ripe pineapple, jasmine, honeysuckle, nutmeg, and crushed rocks. Ripe "sweet" fruit and floral character. Aromatic intensity: M+ (7% Gewurztraminer and 7% Riesling added). Flavor intensity: M+. Acid: M/M+ with a rounded texture, further softened with just a pinch of sugar. Alcohol: M. Body: M+. Dry (5.4 g/l). Very nice, and probably not testable as it is an atypical Pinot Gris. |
