This one tasted a little off.

The best 2018 I’ve had to date and ready to go from the PNP, rating a 98 because while very enjoyable lacking complexity at this stage. Likely upside but not at the same level as ‘16 or ‘15 currently.

PnP at cellar temp. Starting to come together and much improved from last time. Well balanced with impressive structure and mouth feel for the price point, decent nose but feels a little light on the aromatics (faint red fruits.)

Ended up with an 8 hr decant once dinner of cassoulet was ready. Wonderfully balanced and up their with the best early 2018 experiences I’ve had so far.

12/6/2020 8:03:00 PM - Hope you enjoy! I’d say 8 hrs was enough, hard to say if too much because I didn’t get to it as quickly as I’d like. Compared to other ‘18s it could have been consumed PnP, but was nice to have the tannins soften and the wine open a bit. I’d say 4-5 hours could probably do the trick, wishing I checked in on it earlier but got busy.

As other have said, a really special bottle. Balanced, complex and just the total package.

4 hour slow ox. Just. So. Good. Dark fruits, finish for days. Can’t wait for the next bottle.

Amazingly delicious.

4/30/2020 8:56:00 AM - Drank alone unfortunately but did have the Realm 2016 Absurd a few nights prior. This was the slightly more balanced wine, my first G.T.O. but was a real treat. Uncorked about 3 hours before consuming, no decant. Drank over 2 hours (surprised it lasted that long between 4 people.)
