10/30/2022 - NickNYC Likes this wine: 92 pointsbottled drunk over 3 days in different glasses. the nose is powerful, mainly dark fruits, spices, a bit of tobacco. in Zalto Bordeaux glass, the nose shows important notes of wood, less perceptible in Riedel universal. the palate is medium +, muscular but tanins are tamed. good freshness and length. with the Zalto glass, the finish is bit drying, with noticeable touch of wood (too much for my taste). with the Riddle glass the finish is rounder and the wood notes less perceptible. overall, the wine is surprisingly young and has la lot left in the tank. |

Carmenere, at only seven per cent, danced on the shoulders of Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah, leaving some room for the dash of petit Verdot added. 15 per cent alcohol is not for the meek - and normally not Harrie’s style - but here it adds to the shoulders of fruit. |
