The fruit is well read, behind it you notice the toasting, delicate but from time to time it pushes through a little strongly. I also recognise a very slight greenish touch. |

Pure notes of sweet and sour red berries, strawberries, cranberries, red cherries, there are also notes of minerality, some spices (cinnamon, white pepper), a touch of herbal notes, also some forest floor. It‘s medium+ bodied, elegant, but has good persistence, there is nice medium-high acidity and some lower-medium tannin adding some grip. Long finish with plenty of tension. A very pretty Pinot Noir and as always one of my favorites from Grison. The 2018 is another clear step up though from my perspective. Very good QPR. (92+) |

Notes of dark cherries, some dark red berries, licorice, sweet spices, cinnamon, nougat, some cloves, dark plum, orange zest, there is also an earthy mineral note, as well as some smoke. It‘s medium-full bodied, with excellent persistence, has medium-high acidity providing great freshness and some medium+ tannin adding structure. The tannin is ripe and very good quality. Ends on a complex, but still primary note with very good complexity. One of the best Grison Pinot Noirs I have had so far. Lively, dense, complex and layered, this seems to have the stuffing to age a few years too. Absolutely delicious. (94+) |
