2/9/2014 8:37:00 AM - Hi, Cheungtp...happy to return fandom status with you. I see you have many TNs on bordeaux. When their prices started taking off, I directed more purchases to Brunello di Montalcino and Napa cabs. If you get a chance, try some Howell Mountain cabs; I think you'll enjoy them (especially Cade, O'Shaughnessy, Outpost and Dunn). Cheers!

1/18/2014 1:33:00 AM - Hi again Cheungtp, yesterday evening we had the Haut-Batailley 2003. I opened the bottle 30 minutes before dinner and pured it in the decanter just to take out the depot, then back into the bottle. Was a wonderful, round and mild Paulliac, black fruit, some banana and choclate finish. The wine didn't change much with air over 4 hours so I guess that it will remain for years on this level. Fully mature now in my opinion. My description may not be applicable generally because my cellar is rather cold (11 C, this should be 51 F), thus wines develop rather slowly. Thanks again for your suggestions, kind regards from Zurich! Edgar

1/14/2014 1:53:00 AM - Dear Cheungtp, you recently tasted Haut Batailley 2003. Would you reccomend to decant? What was your impression about the development with air? Thanks in advance for your feedback, best regards from Zurich! Edgar

8/7/2013 9:29:00 AM - Thank you for the post on my message board. I think I would definitely enjoy a 1995 Barton, but it will be difficult for me to get ahold of a bottle like that. I was reading through your tasting notes and saw that you have tasted quite a few Bordeaux!
