5/12/2024 - grapenomad wrote: 94 pointsPopped and decanted for about 5 hours. Very modern style of CdP - open and approachable right off the bat, with a sweet-fruited nose and palate. Tertiary notes just starting to show on the palate. Full-bodied with ripe tannins and moderate acidity. Smooth texture, almost creamy from the oak. Everything in check. Drink now or leave for 15-20 years. |

5/7/2024 - sw918 Likes this wine: 91 pointsLovely wine. A little hot on the nose but didn’t notice it on the palate. Dark, rich, dry. Blackberry, leather, baking spices. Structured but silky tannins. Medium high acid. Lingering finish. Not showing any serious signs of aging. I’ve got several other bottles. Will probably last at least 2 to 3 more years. Drinking nicely now. |

5/3/2024 - vlzat wrote: 91 pointsMedium body, intense golden colour, 14% abv. Complex aroma of tropical and orchard fruits, citrus, flowers' honey and green almond. Creamy peaches and pears palate following by soft acidity and lingering, nutty and mineral finish. Rich, structured and powerful but fresh, well balanced and harmonies. Food friendly, well pairing to Foie Gras. Open an half hour ahead. Serve 10ºC - 12ºC. Drink now and the next 3/4 years. |

4/29/2024 - steveiiiiii wrote: NRBig, big wine, high ABV that makes it a bit sticky. It also makes the fruit (purple/black) very sweet and all over the place. Decanted for 2 hours, drank half bottle and then back in fridge, still the same wine day 2. It was not my style so I won't rate it. |

4/22/2024 - CarpeDiem! Likes this wine: 96 pointsDense, expressive and complex, a great CdP. Very mature blackberries, raspberries, fine leather, plum, chocolate, mokka, contrasted by mint, roast and garrigue notes. Full bodied, multi-facetted, with a charming phenolic and umami finish. Already a treat, and likely to keep the steam for another 5-10 years. |

4/6/2024 - whitmanlholt Likes this wine: 93 pointsPopped and poured. This is a vibrant ruby wine with a darker core and material sediment cake on the bottle. The nose is shy at first, but opens nicely into brush, cherry sauce, coffee grounds, and orange peel. In the mouth, I get black cherry, smoke, and plum aspects, which fold into a long and dark-fruited finish on which the tannins are completely integrated. Overall, I found this to be a rich, dense, and satisfying wine. It is a nice all-around hitter that shows yet transcends the appellation. Given the density of the wine, the significant retained sediment, and how this opened up favorably over time, I would recommend decanting for a few hours. Very nice indeed. 93 points. |

3/23/2024 - RDHudak wrote: 89 pointsBought on release and has been stored properly since. C: Still deep and dark with some bricking. N: Faint leather and dark berry with a slightly oxidized nose. P: More of the same with a moderate berry note and some oxidation. Not enough acidity to lift the dullness of the fruit. F: Medium and quite average. IMO, this is OTH and should be consumed now. I had the '10 version from this producer the next night and it simply blew the doors off of this. 1 person found this helpful, do you? Yes - No / Comments (1) |

3/17/2024 - Apollo5710 wrote: 94 pointsOpened for my wife's birthday. The nose immediately leaped from the glass to showcase ultra-ripe dark red fruits (e.g., raspberry, blueberry), vanilla, and hints of prune. As other tasters have noted, it is on the verge of being Port-like. Huge in the mouth, and lush and suave in terms of texture, and quite tannic. With 2-3 hours in the decanter the nose dissipated somewhat but also became more complex to yield wonderful notes of espresso and rosemary herbs, as it softened somewhat in the mouth. It was at its best after 5 hours, at which point notes of charred meats and dark chocolate emerged. At other moments, lavender and anise came to the fore too, while the finish finally revealed its potential with incredibly vivid flavors of sweet cherries and cinnamon. I'd like to hold our remaining bottle for 4-5 years, perhaps - though the intermittent prune notes indicate over ripeness which I fear may not bode well for extended bottle aging. We shall see, though there is no harm opening a bottle now (if able to provide 3-5 hours of air). 94 now, with upside (though my wife gave it a 97). |

3/10/2024 - Marc wrote: 93 pointsCertainly during at a peak of early to mid maturity. This is so refined, so satiny, so plush. Chocolate brownie, intense kirsch, touch of tree bark from the Mouvedre, herbs de Provence, bottle age complexity. Totally approachable, totally delicious,”. While not sublime, this scream class to me. It is very ripe, dicing with over-ripeness, but it is beautiful. The 15% is slightly hot, but doesn’t come as noticeably agressive. |

1/30/2024 - Jeff Leve wrote: 94 pointsAs always, this is quite dark in color. The wine is deep, meaty, smoky, rich, and lush. There is a plushness, and polish to the fruits on the palate with a creamy edge to the layers of fruit in the lengthy finish. The wine blends 45% Grenache, 45% Mourvedre, and 10% Syrah. There is a lot going on here, including some oak that needs to be resolved. So give it a year or two before popping a cork and it should be even better. Drink from 2024 - 2035. |
