5/19/2024 - nobluda Likes this wine: 88 pointsA decent Beaune 1er Cru, well-balanced and elegant. But seemed to lose its core and intensity a bit. Still very enjoyable. |

5/16/2022 - Xavier94 Likes this wine: 92 pointsGuessed this to be closer to a ‘95! Dark color and somber profile with beef broth, licorice, balsamic scents and dried black cherry that show an almost secondary profile. The wine is dense with a bit of “chunky” tannins that shows some dryness still. This is begging for food right now and quite powerful. Going nowhere in a hurry! The aromas did some elusive and slow to come into focus. |

5/15/2022 - jmoore431 Likes this wine: 92 pointsOddly, a very newish looking cork; most youthful of the few bottles I’ve had of this: beetroot, a very savory and soupy combination of classic older burgundy, more secondary still than tertiary. Dark fruit, boeuf bourgignon, carmelized onion. Fullish, tasting partner was guessing decades younger. I’d have preferred more tertiary, autumnal qualities. 92+ |

7/30/2019 - vinhonotte wrote: 90 pointsFine Wines SG - The World of Pinot Noir: Burgundy vs the World (Fine Wines SG): A nose of strawberry and lemon flowers. Still a clear floral on palate, but it seems like the fruits were more green, like sour cherries. While there’s this slight difference between nose and palate, it’s still rather simple |

1/31/2019 - grapenomad wrote: 87 pointsA pretty generic wine with a good combo of fruit and oak, but not much substance beyond that. Well-balanced, light and refreshing. Even though this will start showing more in a year, I don't see any crazy potential. The table guessed this to be Burgundy, but we all agreed that it wasn't exactly a diamond in the rough. |

Maison Leroy); 9/13/2018-9/15/2018 (Chicago, IL): A fairly dense and powerful wine, with some good earth aromas, and a generous helping of black fruit. This is still incredibly backward, with lots of tannins that make this seem a bit chewy. Shows the most rustic of the wines (as expected?). |

6/3/2013 - cooberp Does not like this wine: NR2013 Wine Media Guild dinner (SD26, NYC): Must and varnish obscure the aromatics. Florals, cinnamon, and maraschino cherry are lurking, but this is rather biting--I'm not sure if that's alcohol or exaggerated acidity. Given the vintage/terroir/pedigree, I suspect this is either not a correct bottle or needs more time in the cellar, but I'd rate it about an 86 for current drinking. |
