Nice wine, even better after aeration, second day revealed aromas of coffee and chocolate. Nice tannis.

This is a good elegant wine, not on the fruit bomb tradition, its well balanced with some fruit and acidity to match. If you like tamer reds, this wine is elegant and understated.

Had a musty sulfur smell, had to decant it. It cleared up after an hour but is not in general a great wine, some fruit and some tannins in general unremarkable.

This wine has a nice fruity nose that promises more than it delivers, upon drinking the wine is soft and without much personality.

Excellent wine, lots of red fruit, cherry on the nose, great fruit on the palate as well, well balanced structured with strong but silky tannins, feeling still a bit young. Could possibly use a few more years of cellaring. Would buy again.

Day 1: No decanting, poured glass straight from bottle and sniffed wonderful notes of flowers, violet. This was short lasted and soon got sulfate smells of burnt matchstick that although not overpowering, did dominate the first two glasses. Dark Ruby Red with firm but gentle tannins which means it could probably age some more, but im not sure if it will improve because at this point is seems a bit inexpressive and tight. I will write my impressions from the decanted second half tomorrow, i hope it opens up as it did for some other tasters here.

Dark ruby red, delicate nose of flowers and and intese taste of wild berries, looooong finish. Very impressive on the palate, quick a find for the price, ready to drink now.
Second day tasting showed a closed up wine with none of the delicate aromas, left was only a green olive and herbal smell and the firm tannins, drink this one at once after opening.

Nice fruity nose, good structure, tannic backbone shows it could handle some cellaring, dense and dark ruby. This is a good wine for everyday, nice value.

Highly concentrated and syrupy, great nose of berries and oak. I will very probably buy more. I made the mistake to leave the bottle open but recorked for over a month and tried consuming it during that time. I assumed that becasue of the alcohol concentration the wine would not oxidize but it did. At one month the port was still drinkable but not nearly as pleasant as it was upon opening. Must be drunk within the first few days, same day is even better.

Drank for Xmas with family. Impressive fruit, full bodied, with concentrated berries aromas. More approachable than the Don Melchor at this point. Excellent wine, perhaps the best Chilean wine out there, if you must try a wine from Chile try this one.

Very interesting wine, extremely pungent upon opening, needs at the very least 2 hours of aeration. Big, bold and rustic, highly tanic, went well with some Catalan fuet sausage. I would think its not for everybody but i liked it a lot, its very different from what is considered mainstream currently.

Not bad for an everyday table wine. Easy to drink, medium body, medium acidity, austere nose of tropical fruit (grandas, naranjilla, mango?) with hints of citrus and flowers. Should be approachable to people not used to the bigger bolder reds of the region.
