4/26/24, 2:31 AM - I have been a long time admirer, have had at least 50 bottles, vintage 1986-2010, I agree that 2005 was my best vintage after 2000, 2009 and 2010 not like those, I only have one 2010 left, not buying anymore, the style is to me monotome.1986 was clearly a star, it made me connect with Bordeaux after I lost it in the 80´. I even went to Bordeaux last year twice, the city is great. I like Bordeaux in a more modern style now.Thanx for the note.
4/1/24, 9:58 PM - I won’t touch my only bottle until 2028.
4/1/24, 9:56 PM - I have had the same experience, decided to let it rest until 2026.
3/31/24, 11:58 AM - OMG🤯
3/31/24, 4:45 PM - OMG🤯
3/31/24, 1:45 AM - I just bought the same lot, thank you for your notes, I will receive my wines next week.
2/19/24, 10:52 PM - Will keep my only bottle until 2028🇮🇹🍷
1/28/24, 12:01 AM - Thank you , I wil try 2 hours decant.
1/23/24, 11:13 PM - Jean-Paul, calls it the Corton-Charlemagne of Chablis, in 2027 I will make a comparison with Bonneau du Matray Corton-Charlemagne 2014.
1/23/24, 9:27 PM - I can´t understand why heavy tannins is needed, it makes these Sangiovese wines very hard to enjoy!I had my troubles with Pergole Torte 2013 is loaded with rough tannins, like 2014 only drinkable wine was 2015, expensive but not that great, sorry for drifting🤯
1/23/24, 7:43 AM - Allen Meadows Burghound had a premoxed bottle in October 2023, he says drink now!Your note tells me to hesitate, I won´t touch my bottles until 2026.
1/23/24, 7:58 AM - I bought 5 bottles on release, had one 31/12/2021 it was amazing, I have been buying them as allocation, since 2009.So many bottles has been drunk, never had one premoxed, but read a lot about it from scared people. As I don´t get them anymore still one 2015 out of 4 always perfect, I´m not worried, thanx for the feed back.
1/20/24, 11:42 PM - I agree, I was disappointed because I like the producer, other vintages was amazing, but 2022 was to me slightly sweet and muted.
9/6/20, 8:14 AM - It consists of 35% Merlot, 30% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Cabernet Franc, 10% Petit Verdot and 5% Malbec. Passing in front of Bel Air, passing traders with chemical fertilizer and nitrogen, the vineyard is only very easily changed into organic fertilizer exclusively. In any case, the vine is not pushed to give (maximum 20 to 30 hl / ha). Mr. BOYER does not have to harvest green. As a reminder, AOC Margaux approves a maximum yield of 45 hl / ha.
9/6/20, 8:26 AM - I rest my case, ignorance is beyond everything I know.
1/9/24, 2:05 AM - Nico P, you read it wright, no chemicals at all. The Unique about this wine is it was made in 1900 style and like the Romans used to make wine.Happy New Year.
1/4/24, 7:23 PM - I just love those Gamay Granite, Côtes du Forez and Côtes de Roannaise e.g. Domaine Serol.
1/3/24, 3:48 AM - I bought 6 bottles, started to taste in 2021, latest 2023 much better, but will not touch the rest before 2026.
12/25/23, 11:59 PM - Somehow I always loved Vaudesir or Valmur, could this be a bad bottle?
12/26/23, 6:51 AM - Thank you for your extended answer.
12/23/23, 11:08 PM - Good for you I only have one, will taste it in 2027.
12/19/23, 10:13 PM - The old saying decant at lunch time will be ready for dinner♥️🇫🇷🍷
12/15/23, 10:52 PM - Why not give another try from this area Pascal Doquet Arpége Brut Nature.
12/16/23, 10:18 PM - I have a special Champagne for New Years Eve, Me and my wife will enjoy Selosse vintage 2006, the last one made by Anselme pure Chardonnay, for now on it containcs Pinot Noir.Happy holidays to you both too.
12/11/23, 10:26 PM - You have to love Cabernet Franc, this is the purest you get, but its all over France, Bergerac, Pomerol, 1. Cru Classé but in lower percentage.I still have some of each 2010 Clos Rougerard( Saumur-Champigny, Les Poyeux and Le Bourg, will keep them ) prices are crazy, I bought mine by coincidence before they skyrocked.BTW these days I buy Roches Neuves amazing wines.
12/5/23, 11:25 PM - I liked it too.
12/3/23, 10:10 PM - My experience it needs 10-12 years♥️🇫🇷🍷
11/12/23, 3:57 AM - Hi Rani, this guy makes miracles
11/7/23, 12:54 AM - Keep mine until 2027.
11/7/23, 12:52 AM - Always loved 2014 from the beginning bought 6 bottles only 2 left!
10/16/23, 9:48 PM - Wait until 2027.
10/16/23, 9:34 PM - My experience is they need time at least 10 years.
9/22/23, 12:39 AM - I will try one tonight based on your note, sounds good.
9/24/23, 11:17 PM - I agree what you wrote a thrill.
9/22/23, 12:38 AM - I have decided to keep them until 2029.
9/17/23, 1:50 AM - I won't touch my only bottles until 2028 when I'm 79 years old.
7/13/23, 1:53 AM - Rhône was my thought, I can't drink wines from California( too much of everything)
6/29/23, 7:14 AM - I won't touch mine before 2029.
5/15/23, 12:31 AM - I agree totally, the producer here is the gem.
5/2/23, 8:13 AM - I think you miss something, this is wine from the past, not producer like you might prefer.
5/2/23, 10:09 PM - I still think, this is unique in his winemaking, never used any chemical poison , does is the same way always, I like his approach a lot. I have drunk 14 bottles of 2005 all were delicious and fullfilling, its just like My Way from Sinatra.
4/23/23, 10:29 PM - Not a typical GC, a simple Burgundy more like generic in low scale. Have bought too much sadly.
4/25/23, 12:22 AM - 2018 was a better wine no doubt. I still have 4 bottles of 2017!!!!
4/24/23, 3:48 AM - I won´t touch mine until 2028!
4/8/23, 2:39 AM - This domaine is very good, love those wines.
4/10/23, 9:20 PM - Les Bancels was in the same league.
4/8/23, 2:38 AM - agree, tasted better in any other vintage.
3/11/23, 3:17 AM - Heat damaged?
3/21/23, 5:51 AM - Bottle variation then, so sadly.
3/13/23, 9:27 AM - Heat damaged?
3/21/23, 5:50 AM - I have bought some Hautes Côtes de Nuits 2020, much more balanced and fresh, these are rented vineyards, but same making as Roncevie.
3/6/23, 1:42 AM - still lots of tannins will they never disappear?
3/2/23, 10:04 PM - I love it, have you tried his Hautes Côtes de Nuits?
2/20/23, 12:57 AM - I have decided to give Barolo more time ,so this wine could wait until 2027 at least.
2/20/23, 12:49 AM - I´m not sure about this wines too tannic, I have 2013, 2015, not my taste at all, but will keep them another 5 years.
1/23/23, 8:08 AM - Amazing wines.
1/19/23, 11:30 PM - Congrats, we had our 40. in May celebrated in Paris. Was the wine ready?
1/20/23, 11:40 PM - The price has gone crazy, I have turned to Michel Bouzereau for all the 1.cru, just some single bottles. I have not tasted my Lafon bottles yet, my stash is limited 2014(1), 2015(1),2016(2) I have decided to keep them longer. Your note sounds great.
1/11/23, 11:31 AM - I like it too.
1/8/23, 9:08 AM - I would wait another 5 years.
1/7/23, 1:05 AM - I have only one bottle, but my experience with this producer is somehow, not always the best wines, had problems with 2011, of 12 bottles 7 was corked.
1/7/23, 12:30 AM - I made a comparison between Francois Lumpp and Domaine Joblot.Clos du Gras Long 2018 and Clos du Celliers aux Moines 2020, very different wines, as a big fan of Joblot ,I found it more Burgundy in style and FL more like a superextracted Crozes Hermitage like Combier.Somebody called Givry a southern Gevrey-Chambertin could be right.
12/27/22, 11:28 PM - 2005 is my kind of Bordeaux, a steal too great/p.
Thanks for letting us know about this problem. We will review your comments and be in touch soon with an update.
