Excellent with a shrimp pasta dish with butter, olive oil and garlic. Bright and lively but deeper than an SB.

I did not get the same unattractive nose as some of the other tasters. I thought this bottle was just beginning to open up. Wait another 3-4 years on my other bottle.

My favorite of my Turley Zins. Wish I had more. The 04 is ready for drinking. I'm tempted to try one of my 2 05s to see where they are.

I was very pleasantly surprised with this wine. Solidifies the fact that ratings are subjective. Second day this wine was singing and I wish I had purchased more. Hopefully there is some more at Costco. Well rounded cabernet that seems to me will be at its peak in a few years. Very lush. If I get more, I'll decant.

Never had anything like it. Prunes, blackberries, very rich. Popped and poured. Very dark and fragrant. Worth the $$$.

A bit acidic at first but that was replaced within an hour with rich, dark tannins with blueberries, blackberries and tar. Deep purple color. I think this will be better with some more time. Try again in 2009.

Light pinot - lighter than last year but with more flavor. Strawberries and cherries. Very silky. I did not find it as acidic as others. Save a couple for 2010 but drink the rest over the next few.

Great tasting Cali Cab. Dark fruits and balanced tannins. Started great immediately after popping the cork and improved a bit with some air. Tasting great on day 2 as well so this may have some good aging potential. Drink again mid/late 2007.

Good food wine. If served blind, I may have guessed Pinot. Strawberry flavors and a bit acidic to start.

Very good Chardonnay that goes well now with food or on its own. Light gold in color without much acidity. Better than most Chardonnay but not extraordinarily so. 1st of my 04 Kistlers that I've tried and seems more ready than some of my 03s. Alchohol seems a bit higher than others and color is lighter as well (than other Kistlers). Apple and neutral flavors with a light honeysuckle nose.

Deep, dark purple color. I think this needs some time. The Viognier adds some zip but it seems to fight rather than integrate. It improves in the glass.

Rich ruby red with a chocolate tinge. Lots of fruit up front (cherry, blackberry, some strawberry). Tannins not too considerable. Definitely decant - sediment (unfiltered). Very well balanced. Very enjoyable now but will have 10-20 great years ahead. 2 left (wait until 2011/2016).

Highly acidic upon opening. Also seems more fruit-forward than the 2002. Otherwise very similar to earlier years. More balanced after a few hours. I think this will improve with some age or a few hours in the decanter.
