  • Wow time has treated this wine well. Amazing balance and an incredible finish. If you have any left - drink up!

  • Deep developed notes and nice interplay b/w the Syrah and Cab Sauv. Don't hold longer than 2015

  • Tannins were so overpowering at the outset. Did not decant and perhaps this should have been done. The wine got better as the dinner went on and mixed with the food (paired with various meats done on the BBQ). Plum flavours were prevalent and it drank more like a syrah. Drinkable but would not recommend this vintage to others.

  • 14.5% -Decanted 2hrs: Clear, deep (ink like) purple / clean, med+ intensity - cassis, green bell pepper (similar to some Chilean cabs and merlot), spices (cinnamon), smoke and a hint of vanilla/ dry, med- acidity, med body, med tannin, med intensity. Somehow this doesn't seem to be well balanced - not enough acidity and the green bell pepper makes me wonder how ripen were the grapes. The nose showed some complexity and depth but it didn't deliver on the palate which is quite disapointing from this usually good quality producer. Maybe the blend Cab Sauvignon and Syrah wasn't such a good idea (and should be left to Australia)...

  • Have to agree with the other poster on this wine. I started with big expectations, but the wine wasn't terribly expressive, and the palate was overoaked and unbalanced in regard to the fruit- which was thin and shortish. have had better from this producer.

  • Serious oak - lacking the ripeness. Nice woody fruity nose - acid at first on the palette - standard black currant but not much finish and a lot of tannin. Can't replace the lack of ripeness. Riding laurel's if you ask me. Decanted 2 hours. The nose was the best part.
