I agree with others who note this is improving with time. In fact, the second night this was open was great: deep and smooth, with dried cherries and lots of mushroom and earth.

This has gotten much more interesting since my last bottle. Smokey nose. More smoke, tobacco, cedar and graphite on palate. Cherry cola becoming less evident. Drinking very well.

I am aligned with Corkscrews flavor profile on this, except perhaps I would say more light to medium bodied. Well balanced pleasant wine and a good PN at this price. Good food wine. But not especially complex and interesting. I have another bottle but I don't think I will keep it long. It seems to be losing fruit and doesn't have the acidity to last.

Enjoyed this bottle. Earth and cola on the nose, nice dense black fruit palate with zot-like acidity at the end. Not sour. Makes you wonder if they acidified and it took some time to integrate.

Soft, ripe dark fruit with med-full body. Rather thick for a pinot and not much complexity. However, its fruity profile and smooth flavors would generally make this a "crowd pleaser" with a good QPR. Break it out at your next back yard BBQ.

A nose of muted fruit and some spice, medium garnet in color. A medium to full bodied Pinot, with cherry, raspberry, floral notes, some spice on finish, was average, just missing something. www.winelx.com

A very elegant Cali offering with a bouquet of red fruits, earth and a little spice box leads to tart flavors of cranberries, strawberries, bing cherries with a mushroomy aftertaste framed with a decent acidity.

A nice Cali pinot QPR that suited the taste of old- and new-world drinkers alike - there was nothing offensively candied about the fruit, nor were there the cola notes typical of overripe Pinots. Good balance. I was very pleasantly surprised.

very impressed for the price on this one. drank over about 3 hrs, pouring through vinturi with each re-fill. initial nose was a bit tight and had some bright red fruit but also a bit of earthiness that i'm not used to seeing in california pinot. earthiness didn't carry over to the palate, replaced by some decent acidity, medium body with tart strawberry, cherry, cranberry flavors, tart enough to almost feel like a piece of semi-sour candy (think "smartees" or "spree" type hard candy). after a couple of hours the nose opened up with more of the red fruit coming through, and the palate became a bit more round with less of the tartness, and fuller, juicer fruit coming through. very good value, will buy again, definitely intrigued to try the more vineyard specific options (both oregon and california versions) from this producer as well.

A good entry level CA warm climate pinot enjoyed tonight after a long evening of being on call - a reasonable QPR wine, definitely recommend this in the$20 range / bottle. Still very young with a few years of cellaring left and I expect improvement in balance and scores with time. Big nose of dark fruit and cherry, primary flavors more dark then red fruit up front with some burnt sugar and strawberry in the mid-palate and a hint of black pepper on the end. Definitely enjoyed this wine and will look for more.

A good wine. Red fruits: cherry, raspberry, strawberries. A little mushroom funk as well -- more pronounced with our grilled crimini mushrooms. But a little tart, as well. Will drink better with 6-12 months of bottle age, I think. Good value for $20 / bottle (with free shipping)

What a killer value! Going to pick up a few more of these!
Color: A deep burgundy with vibrant red edges
Nose: The nose is quite pronounced for the price level. Its definitely new world, especially southern coast (Sta. Rita Hills and Edna Valley apparent), but there are traces of some earth and mushroom in there adding complexity.
Palate: What a nice and complete wine. Great fruit up front with a great mid-palate stretching the cherry, raspberry, and strawberry on to the finish. Mushroom and plum notes too. Excellent acidity keeps things fresh on the closure.

Tasted this at their wine ghetto tasting room in December and thought it interesting, but very tight and just not in a good place yet. Popped and poured a bottle the other night and thought the same thing. Came alive on Day 2 though - it opened up and showed much more of its character and balance.

Mouthwatering fruit. Nose opens nicely after a bit of tightness upon opening. First sip was tart I agree with first taster cranberry tart at first. As it opens in the glass it begins to soften. I like it. Wasn't sure I would at first. Nice finish, not hugely complex on the palate. All in all I enjoyed it.

Why do these punks making wine in France? Cranberry, tart, but yet california full. I am liking it more than I think it should. Tought at $24, better at $19.99, killer at $15.

Fairly dark for pinot, this is a big style. Nice sour cherry notes, with some earth and spice. May be a little alcohol noticeable, and the tannins can be a little rough, but this is a delicious wine now and probably could improve for a while.

Sommeliers Australia USA Pinot Noir Masterclass (Rockpool Bar and Grill Sydney): Ruby, clear, medium intensity Medium intensity, red berry and slight cherry, sweet spice, slight cedar Medium plus acid and tannin. Medium alcohol, body, flavour intensity. Dry. Red berry, slight spice, long, growing and warm finish. Slight bitterness on the end of the finish but very nice. Best wine of the bracket for me.

Cherry and blackberry nose. Has some tannin, seemed to be have a pretty high alcohol content. Wife rates it 92, 90 for me.
