Darker ruby and a little bricking. Very aromatic with rose petal and red fruit. Great acidic structure and polished tannin. Felt delicate and certainly wouldn’t decant.

My last bottle was seven years ago. It (L 10310) was great then and even better today. This medium-weight wine is exceptionally aromatic (red and dark fruits, spices, flowers, minerals), has firm acidity, prominent tannins, a succulent core of sweetness on the mid-palate, and an outstanding, long, bittersweet, peach-pit finish. It can accompany a wide variety of meals; whatever you might serve with aged Pinot Noir, Sangiovese or Nebbiolo will go well with this, although the tannin levels are more like the last two than the former. Drink to 2028 ? Excellent QPR.

Phenomenal wine. Very Aromatic, beautifully integrated tannins with that delicious chalkiness. Blackberry and dark cherry, maybe a little raspberry, with a succulent, long finish. Going to find more of this

Morello cherry, tobacco, ashes, tree sap, fresh rosemary. Ripe and suave on entry with balanced acidity. Savory on the back end with mouthcoating tannins. The warmth of the site seems to yield a wine with much depth of fruit making it certainly drinkable, but I think it has more to offer in time as the tannins resolve. (90-92 points.) Can drink now, but better 2017 to 2022+.

Drinking beautifully now, earlier than some of the other Terre Nere wines. Clear light brick color, great nose of minerals, cherries and herbs, with hints of anise and mint. Full flavors of these same elements with some earthiness. Solid, pleasing acidity, savory but not lip-smacking like in its youth. Long, long flavors, and the fragrances emanating from the coating inside the empty glass can last indefinitely, like a great digestivo. Not an inexpensive wine, but a wonderful one.

Little to add to my 6/24/13 note, except that I liked this bottle even more. Served to out of town guests. Everyone loved it. Haunting subtlety and elegance. Wish I had more bottles.

Clear dark garnet. Expressive nose of strawberry, vanilla, and spice. Ripe, juicy palate of red fruit, spice, minerals, and anise. Bright acidity. Sweet young tannins. Beautiful balance. Outstanding NM.

Amazing. Beautiful secondary characteristics at this stage, while retaining freshness and drinkability. Wish I had loaded up on more (esp. at $20).

Day 1. Smoky and mineral. Day 2. Open with fantastic aroma of red fruit. Day 3. A bit on the flabby side...
