Red cherry, strawberry, and rhubarb fruit with subtle earth and spice notes. Nice acidity and long smooth finish. Tasted during a blind vertical against the '05, '07, & '09 versions of this wine. I had this as time top wine!

PnP. Brownish garnet. Impressive fruit expression, showing a complex profile of cherry, earth, pine, floral and Asian spice note aromatically and on the palate. Quite a bright melange. Palate features a fuller round sensation rather than crunchy fruit, but definite presence of soft tannins and light acidity makes this very attractive.
Night 2 - this wine is now an alcoholic mess, very 'hot'. Just checked and it's listed at 15%. I think the charm of the aging, complex fruit made the etoh feel 'round' (sweet) on night one. Based on this, I will drink the rest soon and as a PnP.

Easy to pick out as a Pisoni in a lineup. Color is starting to show its age, but the wine is still very youthful. Expressive aromatics, big and linear fruit with a pleasant and long finish. I've had good luck aging most Siduri Pinots and this was enjoyed when tasting against some "hot" '09s.

Wine is a little disjointed, most prominent flavors are deep and dark, with cedar and anise notes around the edges. Good, but not great at this time. I may wait a year or so to see how secondary characteristics develop--the structure seems in place to allow aging further.

I've had this wine several times during the past few years, and it's been a consistent performer. I'd thought the previous bottle was starting to reach its age limit, but I was wrong. This bottle--paired with beef tenderloins and sauce Bernaise--showed remarkable staying power. Huge fruit forward flavors of cherry (dominant) and cranberry (minor), with velvet-like forest undertones--mushrooms, cedar. Finishes with a bit of vanilla and a mild sweet note, but then the acidity kicks in to dry it all out. A superb wine across the board.

Nose is showing it's age, but in the mouth its still quite fresh. Overall just ok, nothing special. I should have drunk this a year ago. Much less enjoyable than the 04 Pisoni estate drank a few weeks back which was still going strong.

Translucent ruby red color. The nose straightforward with red cherry and a touch of oak. In the mouth, there is red cherry and cranberry with a little oak. The wine has solid acidity and no tannins. Overall, this was a very enjoyable wine with solid fruit and balanced acidity.

One of my bottles of this wine was slightly off, with some volatile alcohols. But this one was on its A game. Great fruit, cherry and a bit of cranberry. Good depth of flavors, with vanilla and cedar notes. Tannins have mellowed nicely. Acidity is a bit light for a food wine, but that's my only complaint. I'd say it's at or very near its peak now.

Overly tart and lacking the big complex Pisoni expression I'm used to from these. Rather simple at this point. Possibly better earlier in life but I don't have experience with this vintage for this bottling.

15.0% alcohol. Extremely deep red color. Fragrant nose of blackberry, blueberry, spice, and minerals. A rich, fat, lush 2004, but without many of the sins of the vintage in the lesser wines. In the mouth, smooth and rich, with loads of blue and black fruits, spice, some flowers, and a good dose of minerals. Good acidity. Long finish that doesn't show any signs of heat. Nicely done and very drinkable. Not showing as much structure as a usual vintage. A-

A very nice bottle of wine, but perhaps even more disappointing than my last bottle. Popped and poured at our club, it started out hot, though it did mellow in the glass. Seemed almost Russian River-like, with its cherry cola flavors and near-fizz mouthfeel. Certainly enjoyable, but neither the best of Siduri nor the best of Pisoni.

Trip to Boston; 6/4/2008-6/9/2008: completly out of place this night, like a syropy syrah, this was almoust not drinkable along with the other wines and the food. ripe, sugary-sweet, full powered... but lacking the balance of the finesse of pinot, nor possesing the rustic appeal of syrah. cant blame it too much but not my cup of anything.

Dark red in the glass, suggesting a fair intensity. This wine needs time to breath; somewhat closed upon opening, after 1 hour it started to come around. Aromas of black raspberry, vanilla and a woodsy briar element. A good blast of fruit upon the entry, tending toward berry, and giving way to a nice complexity at mid palate. A velvety presence leads to a long finish. A little hot, but very lively. Not quite the flavor profile that I've enjoyed so much in prior Siduri Pisoni, but a decent glass of wine.

Double decanted for 40 minutes. Medium-bodied wine that is dark ruby in color. On the nose, dark cherries, spice, forest floor, and light wood smoke. On the palate, black cherry liqueur, blood orange, and a touch of vanilla on a very long 30-40 second finish. This wine really came together at the 2-hour mark and displayed excellent balance and a pleasantly tangy acidity. Very enjoyable Pinot!

Had at home with friends prior to dinner. No detailed notes, but this is what I remember.
Decanted 2 hours and placed back in open bottle for another 4. Singing nose of ripe berries, flowers and a touch of spice. Very fruit forward on the palate with a fresh lively mouthfeel that was perfectly balanced. The wine finished with lush, velvetty tannins and enough acidity to allow the wine linger on. Another example of a great Santa Lucia wine from the Pisoni vineyard. 93 pts.
This wine is drinking great now. Had along side a 2004 Peay Sonoma Coast. The Peay did not have as much time in the decanter and was not as floral or open as the Siduri. Between the Peay and Siduri, all five of us liked the Siduri better.
I see no need to wait on the Siduri, but it could get more subtle flavors over time.

In the glass, dark ruby red. On the nose, subdued pinot spice and a touch of cherry. On the palate, a hybrid of cherries and restrained spice, with a silky texture that became more pronounced mid-palate. The finish was somewhat hot and tannic, but some time in the glass (and bottle) helped tame this, although it never quite went away. Still, a nice pinot and a nice accompaniment to Thanksgiving leftovers.

Decanted ½ Hr. Solid, pungent nose of herbs and black cherry with a nice touch of dried rose petal that carries through on the palate. Medium body with lithe tannins on a silky and consistent palate that has excellent depth and complexity along with good acidity. Picks up some sandalwood leading to a long, lingering and a slightly hot finish that just continued to expand.

Open for about three hours, not decanted. Light purple color, fairly cloudy. Light raspberry and coffee on the aroma. Palate is a beautiful balance of dark raspberry, coffee. Just a bit over heated now, has a long intense finish. Terrific stuff.

Wonderful youthful and delicious expression of cherry, raspberry, licorce and carmel. Sophisticated tannins, present at the front and mid palate, then dissolving at finish while carrying the flavors for a well structured long finish. Delightfully well done. Tasted first at Willi's Wine Bar in Santa Rosa with same notes.

Drunk very young, and the high alcohol is very up front. 15%, with a good but of heat and glycerol. There is a ton of ripe red and blue fruit, almost candied. Strawverry, plum, honey, syrup and extra sugar to boot. All of this fades to a crisp finish, with ome pepper and spice, and light tannins that stand up on your toungue. I don;t know how to evaluate a young wine, but this was fun to taste young.
