Medium red. Still mostly red meniscus. Medium diffuse deposit. Dark berry fruits, with some age complexity. A good example of Jasper Hill Georgia’s Paddock. Acid still dominant and the predominant deposit. Balances out with a flavoursome Osso Buco. Many years ahead of it.

Popped and poured for tonights ribeye - good choice. Still a young wine with plenty of primary fruit, olives, minerals, Cornas-like iron feel - while the fruit is unbridled Australian. Vertical style, manly, serious, dries out a bit at the end, the only factor that could worry in terms if further cellaring. - but it's great now.

Grand Cru Shiraz (The four seasons hotel, the rocks, sydney): Gamey, savoury, leather, slightly sour notes, black over red berry fruits, earth, a smidge of mint, a little polished oak. Juicy, red over blackberry, plenty of peppery spice, alcohol warmth, tightly tannic grip is drying. Meh.

Opened, decanted, and consumed over eight hours Ruddy oxblood in color, full bodied Earthy notes, some dark fruit (plums, cigar box, charcuterie) Thick, astringent, unctuous, a little chewy, medium plus finish, tastes much like the nose. I would agree this wine does NOT taste like an Aussie wine. More French in style. This is excellent wine, and this vintage is in its drinking window. Drink up!

Taken to a restaurant (Mision 19) for those that care. My dining companion and I had sharply differing opinions. We both liked it, however I thought it was drinking far more like a Cote Rotie, whereas he commented it had a classic Aussie aroma profile. The fruit on this is not big, and there were earthly notes throughout. The fruit did dry out a bit towards the end. Still an excellent bottle ready to go.

Lovely wine. Still young - give it another 3 years to get close to its peak. The texture of the wine is the standout, driven by firm and refined tannins. The acidity balances those tannins really well. This wine has been a favourite of mine for many years. This vintage simply confirms my tastes.

Tasted blind at an offline. Quick notes: soft on the entry, thin in body; showing age in the glass; fading fruit; ends with a dry finish showing some oak. Good.

This is really a lovely wine; without a doubt this is consistently the best Aussie Shiraz I have had the chance to taste. The nose is beautiful with red and black berry fruits, violets, hints of smoke and savory minerality. The palate is beautifully balanced with great fruit, great acidity, lovely integrated tannins, and beautiful floral/smoke notes. Fantastic wine that is more balanced than the typical Australian shiraz and will definitely get better with 5-10 more years of age.

We opened the wine let it sit for a hour and then poured through a vintorio. Dark fruit on the nose, the palate was dark berries, dark plums, olive, spices and a hint of cedar which came out on the long finish.

Big brash Heatcote shiraz, but not in bad way. Olives, capsicum, dark berries with a touch of chocolate and spice/ginger. Big tannins but wonderfully balanced great length. Will be leaving the remaining 5 bottles for sometime.

Great power, body and concentration, yet elegant and very well structured. Obviously good fruit and skilled winemaking. It has that x-factor of the top Old School Victorian wine. Will Cellar for a very long time (cork permitting!)

Still has high acidity on the front palate. Fruit is subdued. Drank this after one hour decant. Think it needs a bit more time.

Corked. I know how hard the makers try to ensure top quality corks, but even they can get caught out by a piece of manly tree bark.

A lovely shiraz, hiding its alcohol and power behind a brambly front and with a long finish.

Nice, refined example of a Heathcote shiraz. Still very young though. Needs another 3 to 5 years.

Пока вино особо не впечатлило, но потенциал развития безусловно есть. Интересно будет его попробовать года через 3. Авансом ставлю 92.
