Creamy and ripe champagne with the flavours of yeasty, citrus, brioche, stone fruit and floral. Very accessible now with nice mineral and acidity. Delicious and ready for service but doubt for it's market price now. Good NV champagne takes time to mature🤤

Yeasty nose with flavors of citrus, brioche, chamomile, and lime. Creamy on the palate with notes of orange zest, minerals, and lovely mousse. Nice finish. This is drinking great right now, excellent Champagne!

Lovely and lively now, if best after a few hours open. Floral. A terrific pairing with Christmas goose, cutting the richness. Typical Bouchard low pressure mousse, suiting the wine's light charm. More vinous than other Champagnes frequently described as being so.

Delicious wine. Very open and accessible at the moment. Complex, full of minerality and ripe fruit. There is a certain creaminess to this wine as well. Very good

Beautiful, palest apricot colour. Fresh on the nose with peachy aromas. Medium bodied, fresh and clean with good peach fruit. A depth and sense of weight whilst almost being effortless and floaty. Very elegant. Serious stuff, and lots of interest here. Really lovely. ****

Acker Burgundy Dinner (The Writing Room (88th & 2nd Ave)): This is a much deeper and I think more interesting wine than the Blanc de Blancs it was served alongside (although both good champagnes). Reminds me almost of a carmelized lemon in a fairly light fashion in liquid form. Similar to the Blanc de Blanc, this has no added sugar for the fermentation and is all picked by hand and crushed by foot.

Absolutely lovely on this night. So much freshness with lots of complexity. Nicely integrated and balanced at this point, plenty of life ahead. It is just so good right now that it will be hard to resist opening some more. Definitely worth a try at this stage. The quality is great for the price.

Birthday lunch for Mike and Andrew: En Magnum. A lovely, complex Champagne. Colour peach with pink highlights. An attractive bouquet. Strawberries and cream with a mineral base. In the mouth, silky texture caresses the palate. The entry shows the fruit sweetness. There is a lot of ripe, rich fruit here, but the wine is taut. Detailed flavours of citrus, peach, strawberries and crème brulee, again with that minerality in the background. Good acidity running across the palate. Well balanced. Not high phenolics. A relatively forward Champagne. Seemingly not a Champagne for really long term cellaring.

Tasted against the 2008. You can really tell the vintage differences. The 2008 was very linear, young and with lots of structure and elegance. The 2009 is a bruiser. In some ways more accessible now and better to drink. The 2008 will be the best wine down the road. Otherwise it showed well. Curant flavous, sweetness, creamy. You can sense the steel tanks. Keep it cool though. The alcohol comes out when it warms up. All in all a very nice champagne.

The first question that came to mind was "Is it a Rosé Champagne or not a Rosé Champagne?" Color is exactly the mid-point (closer to salmon pale) Great one if you want to have a color comparison scale tasting. It has some sweetness (and a bit nuts?) taste, though more on the dry side. On the nose -the fruits (apricots, peach) but it is still for the nose not as developed as I was expecting from previous notes posted on CT. It may still be a bit young, though enjoyable drinking now as well. Very tiny bubbles, and I do agree with previous notes that it tend to develop a more dominant/strong alcohol note as it is getting warmer. It is more on the dry side (which works very well for us), and excellent match to some fish and seafood in general (which was our dinner). If you do open it now, make sure it is constantly chilled throughout the dinner. (92-93, changed between them twice so it is really somewhere in the middle for me)

Lot of sweetness and freshness. Works great with sushi. Currant flavors. Drink it while it is cold though. It develops an alcohol note, when it warms up.

Well this was just utterly gorgeous. A debate ensued on if it was supposed to be a rose or if in fact it was a Rose. To me, sure, its very pale salmon, but its still a rose. Hedonistic, big, but still with great cut and drive. The '09s really did Bouchard well. From magnum.

Clean, pronounced apple and pear aromas on the nose with some richer yeasty notes also present. Full bodied palate, slightly sweet on entrance, well-balanced by a vigorous mousse and abundant minerality.

Salmon color. A lot of fruit sweetness on the nose. Creamy. Works very well with sushi. When it warms up it develops a strong curant flavor and taste. And also some heat poking through. Or at least what I perceive as an alcoholic element.

12 th Burgundy tasting - Whites part I (Rotterdam, Netherlands): Drunk from sleek white wine glasses, our opener of the day has a lightly intense straw-coloured core and a watery rim, with a virtually invisible bead. The nose shows medium intense notes of cream, ripe apples, fresh plums, some sweet spice and minerally induced smokiness. This “wine from Champagne” is medium-bodied on the attack, and its creamy mousse leads the way to medium-plus intense expansive flavours of minerally laced stone fruits, augmented by a modest autolytic expression of toast and Ritz crackers. Its pronounced acidity is buffered to the extent that the overall impression is one of supreme ripeness, which effect is aided by wonderfully smooth texture. However, there is no lack of tension on the mouth-coating –but well-balanced– half minute finish, which adds interest in the form of a liquorice lick of mineral origin. I readily admit to being a hopeless fanboy for these wines. Therefore, my 91 points should be taken with the caution that Bouchard’s wines tinker on the edge of regional typicity, although that doesn’t diminish their greatness any in my opinion ......... TN Mike de Lange!

Unbelievably good. Tiny, cashmere bead. Gorgeous, delicately pale salmon color. Aroma of bread dough and frais de bois. Flavor is yeasty without being heavy, hints of strawberry, a bit of chalk, finish that persists. Just divine. Best. Champagne. Ever. Have had and loved the Inflorescence by CB before, but this is just out of this world.

salmon color. creamy, fruity. Lots of sweetness from the fruit. As it warms up it looses its nerve a bit and develops a slight alcoholic tone. First time I've tried this with Bouchard.

Nice color with just a touch of pink. Great complexity in the nose and many layers to sniff your way through. Full bodied in the mouth maybe a bit less dosage wouldn't harm.
