Mid gold to deep golden-yellow. Ripe fruit aromas of peach pip, yellow flowers, nectarine blossom and peach melba, Creme Fraiche, with a lifted headiness akin to a gewürztraminer. There is a smear of honey on the broad nose with a beautiful freshness to this ripe wine. Full-bodied, there is medium- acidity but a luxuriant creaminess of texture that has a core of fleshy yellow cling peach and yellow apple with a spice element from some barrel ageing. A richly textured wine that seems surprisingly balanced with it lower acidity yet has a lightness to keep it lifted. Very attractive wine with good length and in great shape.

Dark golden, yellow fruits in the nose, honey, flowers, peaches, exotic yellow fruits and hints of barrel notes on the palate. Fullbodied and and overwhelming wave of flavours, except spine and length are not (anymore?) on that level. Nevertheless a excellent wine, which might been better drunk between 2012 and 2017. At least this bottle has past its prime. I have two or three bottles left and I will drink them up soon.

Lived up to expectations, beautifully fragrant with juicy orchard fruits and incredible golden hue in the glass. Gave it a little time to breathe and aromas intensified. Deliciously juicy, creamy mouthfeel with refreshing yet delicate acidity. So uttterly moreish, only wishing I had more!! Paired with Porcetta ✅

During a Rhone North dinner. Opened up after 20 min in the glass. Wonderful nose of white fruit, some honey but also minerals. This Viognier is racy and fresh on the palate, not heavy, showing the pedigree of the awesome 2010 vintage in Europe. I am not a fan of white Rhone but this wine was really nice and everyone liked it at the table.

This is my third or fourth bottle of this lovely Condrieu over the years and the best so far. I preferred it to the 2010 upper tier Vertige (due to the oak handling). It's starting to evolve in a very positive way. A golden colour is now developing. A beautiful, detailed bouquet. Smoke, citrus, tinned apricots, honey comb, pineapple and flint, moving towards butterscotch. On palate, oily and viscous. Glycerol. A good volume of fruit. Dense with serious structure, almost tannic-seeming. Complex and non-linear. Honeyed with pineapple and other yellow and exotic fruit, citrus, apricot and caramel. A long mineral, almost saline, finish.

I recently had a '14 Chaillets which encouraged me to open this bottle ... It's in a great spot now and is better than the '14. Golden colour. A lovely bouquet of yellow apples, lychees, smoke, peach, flint and bauxite, with a top note of meadow flowers. Weighty, glycerol and viscous on palate. Tactile flavour profile of peach, lychees, rock melon, honey, minerals and chalk. A suggestion of burnt toffee. Good structure, volume and weight. Quite complex. Seemingly, in its optimal drinking window now ...

Monthly Tasting Group HWS #099; France: Northern Rhône, Viognier (By CvR): The wine stays on the lees for 6 months and the vines are grown on a slope with a southeastern exposure. The result is a wine with a beautiful and complex bouquet with yellow and white fruits, litchi, citrus and some smoke and minerals as well. Same on the palate, beautiful fruits and mild acidity. Overall a full bodied wine that spreads through the mouth and has a great length. Ready now and the next few years. 92 - 93+

Northern Rhone tasting (London): While in Cuilleron's modern style, which isn't my favorite, this was a very elegant wine. Medium concentration, good length, interesting flavor profile with apricots and honeysuckle but also some minerality. Seems like it will continue in a good place for a while. Quite expensive, though.

Brief notes of excellent wines at Christine and John's (Wellington, New Zealand): I did not recognise this excellent Cuilleron Vigonier, despite enjoying it several times at tastings and home. It has an expressive bouquet of honey, peach and lemon, and on palate is unctuous, with very good texture and mouthfeel. The Cuilleron is quite structured with dense fruit weight. Andrew thought it was perhaps a little broad and lacking some acid cut, but I thought it had sufficient acidity. An excellent Viognier from a very good vintage, I prefer it to the upper tier 2010 Cuilleron Vertige.

Lunch with Robin & Friends: light gold, gorgeous light floral notes with peach, lemon blossom and tangerine. Soft, delicate, floral, elegance, gorgeous perfume, creamy textured. A fabulous wine with freshness, finesse offset with lovely weight and concentration. Harmonious.

Pretty elegant floral subtle complex with a finish that just keeps giving. Nice mineral salty lick to it that keeps the honey balanced. Almost like a subtle wine version of a salted caramel if that makes sense.

To my taste, this was disappointing. Having read other cellartracker reviews, I was expecting something a notch up from other condrieus I've tasted. Unfortunately, I found that it wasn't much of an improvement on Cuilleron's 2010 viognier, which admittedly was very good. At this price point I'll stick to white Burgundy.

Vin sensuel.

This wine is mind-bogglingly complex. Gorgeous, voluptuous texture that frames honey, flowers, white peach, and a latent tropicality. Great intensity and length. Serve this less cold that most white wines, and give a short decant. Then be wowed.

La Tablee: Celebratory Dinner (BYO) (26 Bridge Street, Brooklyn): Again that very light style of Viognier. This is all light and refreshing and pretty and easy. It's a wine for a hot summer day. I appreciate the different approach.
